Header modification for supplementary services
Handling supplementary services offered in association with Internet Protocol multimedia services based on particular policies is described. In an example, server(s) can receive, from a first user device, a policy associated with handling one or more communications directed to a particular identifier. The server(s) can subsequently receive a communication from a second user device, the communication being associated with a header identifying the particular identifier as the intended recipient of the communication. The server(s) can determine whether the policy is to be applied to the communication and, based at least partly on determining that the policy is to be applied to the communication, the server(s) can update the header based at least in part on the policy. The server(s) can transmit the communication based at least in part on the header, thereby transmitting the communication pursuant to the policy.
Method for managing a proxy table in a wireless network using proxy devices
The invention relates to a proxy node comprising means for managing a proxy table, a receiver for receiving a message from a first resource restricted device, said message being intended to at least one corresponding destination device, control means for checking whether an entry for the first resource restricted device is included in the set of entries of the proxy table, the set of entries of the proxy table indicating the set of resource-restricted devices the proxy node is in charge of,
a transmitter for forwarding the message depending on the result of the proxy table checking, the means for managing the proxy table being arranged for cleaning the proxy table of the entry relative to the resource-restricted device by monitoring the relative usage of the proxy node for forwarding messages for the resource restricted device with the usage of competitor proxy nodes for forwarding messages for the resource restricted device.
COMMUNICATING LOCATION CHANGE INFORMATION
A method includes determining to report location change information of a first computing device to a second computing device and sending the location change information to the second computing device utilizing an initial communication approach. The method further includes assigning a priority level of the location change information based on one or more environmental parameters. When the priority level of the location change information is greater than a priority threshold, the method further includes selecting a new communication approach and resending at least a portion of the location change information to the second computing device using the new communication approach.

ETHERNET OVER CELLULAR
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A plurality of Ethernet devices may transmit Ethernet frames through a cellular network. The Ethernet devices may be coupled to the cellular network via a cellular node. The cellular node may receiver Ethernet frames from the Ethernet devices, identify a traffic class to the Ethernet frames, and map the Ethernet frames to bearers based at least in part on the traffic classes. The cellular node may transmit the Ethernet frames to other cellular nodes using the bearers. At a core network, a mapping between the cellular node and the MAC addresses of the associated Ethernet devices may be stored to allow Ethernet frames to be routed through the cellular network.
Information processing device and information processing method
Generation and management of a communication path between a plurality of information processing devices are properly performed. An information processing device is equipped with a communication unit and a control unit. The communication unit performs exchange of a signal for generating or updating of a multi-hop communication path using wireless communication with another information processing device. In addition, the control unit performs control for updating path information regarding the communication path set through the exchange of the signal for generating or updating of the multi-hop communication path before the path information is destroyed.
NODE LOAD BALANCING
Example implementations relate to node load balancing. In some examples, an apparatus may comprise a processing resource that may execute instructions to determine that a first station is authenticated to a first node and authenticate the first station to a second node in response to a load balancing operation being triggered, wherein the second node is layer 2 (L2) connected to the first node. The processing resource may execute instructions to update an index associated with the apparatus in response to the first station being authenticated to the second node.
Device and method of handling network feature
A communication device of handling a network feature comprises a storage unit for storing instructions and a processing circuit coupled to the storage unit. The processing circuit is configured to execute the instructions stored in the storage unit. The instructions comprise receiving system information indicating whether an Evolved Packet System (EPS) optimization is supported and a first Non Access Stratum (NAS) message indicating whether the EPS optimization is supported; determining to use the EPS optimization, when the system information indicates that the EPS optimization is not supported and the first NAS message indicates that the EPS optimization is supported; and determining not to use the EPS optimization, when the system information indicates that the EPS optimization is supported and the first NAS message indicates that the EPS optimization is not supported.
Mobile device with localized app recommendations
Mobile devices can provide app recommendations that are relevant to a location of interest. A localized app recommendation can be triggered (e.g., by a mobile device coming within a threshold distance of an application hotspot or some other user action). A location of interest can be determined. The location of interest can be the current location of the mobile device or another location (e.g., the destination in a mapping app). Using the location of interest, a localized application ranking database with app hotspot data can be queried with location data representing the location of interest. App recommendations can be received and displayed on the mobile device. Icons for apps that are relevant to the location of interest can be visually distinguished from other apps.
