Methods, devices and systems that use a control channel to coordinate quality of data communications in software-defined heterogenous multi-hop ad hoc networks are described. In some embodiments, an example apparatus for wireless communication in a network includes performing, using a control plane, network management functions over a control channel that has a first bandwidth, implements a frequency-hopping operation, and operates at in a first frequency band, and performing, using a data plane that is physically and logically decoupled from the control plane, data forwarding functions, based on a routing decision, over at least one data channel that has a second bandwidth and operates in a second frequency band different from the first frequency band.
System, method and apparatus for restricting use of a network device through automated policy enforcement
A computerized method for enforcing a set of policies on a first network device is disclosed. The computerized method includes operations by logic processing on the first network device including detecting movement of the first network at a speed above a predetermined threshold and presence of a wireless transceiver, implementing the set of policies on the first network device, wherein implementation of the set of policies is configured to restrict functionality of the first network device according to a predefined list of functionalities, monitoring sensory data associated with the first network device, determining that the sensory data violates a first policy of the set of policies, and responsive to determining that the sensory data violates the first policy, transmitting an alert to an administrator. An additional operation includes transmitting a message to the wireless transceiver to perform a scan for additional network devices.
Reinforcement Learning-Based Intelligent Control of Packet Transmissions Within Ad-Hoc Networks
At a source node, a plurality of packets may be determined for transmission to a destination node in a network comprising a plurality of network nodes. A transmission rate of the plurality of packets from the source node to a neighbor node in the network may be adaptively controlled, based on a determination of a current status of the network by utilizing a plurality of parameters that are estimated via a reinforcement learning routing algorithm. The plurality of parameters include an estimated cost value representing a current cost to transmit the plurality of packets to the destination node via the network. Transmissions from intermediate nodes may also be adaptively deferred based on a determination of a current status of the network by utilizing the plurality of parameters.

In this network mode, the three-layer protocol is no longer a traditional IP message, but a message carrying a locator and an identifier. The polymorphic SDN network controller is responsible for forwarding the data packet to a destination corresponding to a destination locator. When the network location of a mobile device is changed, the transmission connection established based on the identifier will suspend communication due to the disconnection of the physical link. When the mobile device is re-accessed and a new forwarding path is established, the transmission connection can recover communication.
