COMMUNICATION METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
20220394595 · 2022-12-08 ·

The present disclosure relates to communication methods, apparatus, and systems. In one example method, a network slice selection network element sends identification information of a first slice to a mobility management network element. The network slice selection network element receives a slice authentication result corresponding to the first slice from the mobility management network element. If the slice authentication result corresponding to the first slice indicates that slice authentication succeeds, the network slice selection network element performs user counting on the first slice. The network slice selection network element determines, based on a user counting result corresponding to the first slice, whether to allow a terminal device to access the first slice.

There is described a system for restricting access to a mobile communications network for mobile communication devices within a restricted area. The system includes at least one transmitter operable to transmit a beacon signal for reception by mobile communication devices within the restricted area and an access control entity, communicable with the mobile communication device via a base station. The access control entity instructs a mobile communication device to perform at least one measurement of the beacon signal from each transmitter and then to provide measurement data corresponding to the performed measurement to the access control entity. The access control entity then analyses the measurement data provided by the mobile communication device and based on that analysis decides whether or not to provide the mobile communication device with access to a service of the mobile communications network.

Method and user equipment for handling random access in wireless communication system

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5.sup.th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4.sup.th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method for handling random access procedure in wireless communication system is provided. The method includes determining, by a user equipment (UE), that the UE is in one of an idle mode or an inactive mode, acquiring, by the UE, a system information block (SIB) Type1 (SIB1) message from a cell, determining, by the UE, whether the UE supports a frequency band criterion, a spectrum emission criterion, and a bandwidth part criterion based contents of the acquired SIB1 message, and performing, by the UE, one of camping on the cell in response to determining that the UE supports at least one of the frequency band criterion, the spectrum emission criterion, or the bandwidth part criterion, or barring the cell in response to determining that the UE does not support both the frequency band criterion, the spectrum emission criterion, or the bandwidth part criterion.

Unmanned aerial vehicle and controller association

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for pairing/unpairing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to/from UAV controllers (UACs). A UAV and/or a UAC may initiate, based on a triggering condition, a paring/unpairing of the UAV to/from a host UAC and receive, from a network, a configuration update that may confirm the paring/unpairing of the UAV to/from the host UAC. The triggering condition may include at least one of the UAV moving from a location designated as controlled by the host UAC, the UAV moving into a location in which the host UAC is restricted from controlling the host UAV, and/or the host UAC losing signaling capabilities. The configuration update may include at least one of a cause code, an identifier associated with the UAV, an identifier associated with the host UAC, an identifier associated with an unmanned aerial system (UAS).

The mobile radio device is further provided with selection circuitry to select a next candidate base station to attempt to connect to based on the ranked list of candidates.

SYSTEM AND METHOD TO IDENTIFY UNAUTHORIZED AERIAL USER EQUIPMENT OVER A TERRESTRIAL NETWORK

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method in which a processing system detects user equipment (UE) in communication with a network via a serving cell of the network; the network is configured to facilitate communications by one or more terrestrial UEs and one or more aerial UEs. The system monitors messages from an aerial UE regarding detection of a cell other than the serving cell, and receives information from the aerial UE regarding the detected cell. The method further includes analyzing the information to estimate a first quantity associated with the detected cell location relative to the serving cell and a second quantity associated with a power received at the aerial UE from the detected cell. The method also includes determining, based on the analyzing, whether the aerial UE is an unauthorized aerial UE. Other embodiments are disclosed.
