Embodiments of this application provide a channel bandwidth configuration method and a device. The method includes: receiving bandwidth configuration information of a BSS, where the bandwidth configuration information of the BSS is carried in an EHT operation element, the EHT operation element includes a channel bandwidth field, a first channel center frequency field, and a second channel center frequency field, the channel bandwidth field indicates channel bandwidth information of the BSS, the first channel center frequency field and the second channel center frequency field indicate channel location information of the BSS, and the bandwidth information is any channel bandwidth in a plurality of channel bandwidths supported by a terminal; and obtaining the channel bandwidth information and the channel location information based on the bandwidth configuration information of the BSS. This application can be applied to a Wi-Fi system that supports the 802.11 standard, for example, the 802.11be standard.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SUPPORTING EVOLVING BAND REGULATIONS

A base station may send an indication of frequency subranges supported by the base station to user equipment, which may respond with an indication of the frequency subranges that are also supported by the user equipment. Additionally, a Spectrum Access System (SAS) controller, using environmental sensing capability sensors, may determine whether non-federal networks are disposed in a coverage area of a base station and neighboring coverage areas. If so, then the SAS may indicate to the base station to send an indication to user equipment in the coverage area to operate using a default power mode. Otherwise, the SAS may indicate to the base station to send an indication to the user equipment to operate using a lower power mode. Moreover, a base station may indicate a regulatory requirement to user equipment using network signaling value of multiple network signaling values corresponding to multiple regulatory requirements of multiple geographical regions.

Utilizing a plurality of uplink carriers and a plurality of downlink carriers for multi-cell communications

A method may comprise transmitting using a first uplink carrier and receiving a signal using a first downlink carrier. The signal may include a message indicating activation of a second uplink carrier. A method may further comprise initiating, based on the message, a timer associated with deactivation of the second uplink carrier. The method may further comprise transmitting using the second uplink carrier activated based on the message and deactivating the second uplink carrier on a condition that expiration of the timer is detected.

Search space monitoring

There are provided mechanisms for monitoring search spaces. A first method performed by a wireless device comprises receiving an Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol in a downlink slot. At least part of the OFDM symbol is included in a device-specific search space and in a common search space. The first method comprises monitoring the device-specific search space for at least one device-specific reference signal (RS) and monitoring the common search space for at least one non-device-specific RS. In a second method, a radio access network node transmits an OFDM symbol included in a device-specific search space and in a common search space. The device-specific search space contains a device-specific RS, or the non-device specific search space contains a non-device-specific RS, or both of these apply.

Method and apparatus for wireless device synchronization in a beam-based communication system

Among other things, the method and apparatus examples herein provide a solution to the problems that arise regarding the need for a wireless device to achieve source synchronization in a beam-based system, where the wireless communication network does not define “cells” for connected-mode wireless devices. The problems relate to how a wireless device can re-synchronize with its source access node in a beam-based system that mainly relies on self-contained transmissions from transmission points in the network. As one example advantage, the contemplated methods and apparatus enable wireless devices to perform measurements to support mobility procedures even when no data transmissions are scheduled.

Method and device for using resources in wireless mobile communication system

The present invention relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rate compared to a beyond 4G communication system such as LTE. A method for using resources by an electronic device in a wireless mobile communication system can comprise the steps of: setting dedicated wireless access configuration for each service; detecting a first service request; and, on the basis of the setting, transmitting and receiving a signal using a dedicated wireless access configuration corresponding to the first service. The present invention is not limited to the embodiment and can pertain to other embodiments.
