System and method of selecting rach occasions for system information request
A method of a UE is provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station, configuration information for a system information (SI) request by higher layer signaling, the configuration information including information on a SI request period comprising of a number of association period; identifying information on a SI request resource corresponding to a SI message based on the configuration information, the information on the SI request resource including an index of an association period in the SI request period, information on a random access preamble, and information on a RACH occasion; and transmitting, to the base station, the SI request for the SI message based on the information on the SI request resource.
Mobile assisted enhancements to reduce radio resource control (RRC) signaling
Techniques discussed herein can reduce RRC signaling messages, and various aspects can employ one or more of these sets of techniques. A first set of techniques can be employed to reduce RACH (Random Access Channel) requests from an RRC Idle State SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) of a UE in DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Standby) mode. A second set of techniques can be employed to reduce the number of RACH attempts to obtain NotBroadcasted (e.g., On Demand) SI(s) (System Information(s)) by a UE in response to a page message indicating SI modification.

Managing and monitoring infrastructure access in networked environments
Embodiments are directed to managing access to network resources. Mesh agents for an overlay network may be provided. If a client requests access to a resource, a first mesh agent configured to provide the client with ingress to the overlay network may be determined. If a security engine validates the request received from the first mesh agent, a route from the client to the resource may be determined. A secure tunnel may be generated between the first mesh agent and a last mesh agent based on forwarding the request to mesh agents on the route. If the request is provided to the last mesh agent credential information for the resource may be provided to the last mesh agent and the last mesh agent, the request and the credential information may be employed to access the resource.

A receiving STA can receive information about an access type from a transmitting STA. The receiving STA can identify a transmittable access category on the basis of information about the access type. The receiving STA can transmit data about the transmittable access category to the transmitting STA.

The WTRU may determine a first PCI associated with a first neighbor cell. The WTRU may determine, based on the first PCI and the PCIs to AIDs mapping, whether the WTRU is allowed to access the first neighbor cell. The WTRU may perform cell selection or reselection with the first neighbor cell as a cell selection or reselection candidate. The WTRU may perform cell selection or reselection based on the WTRU determining that the WTRU is allowed to access the first neighbor cell. The WTRU may determine that the WTRU is allowed to access the first neighbor cell based on the first PCI and the PCIs to AIDs mapping.
