LOCAL RE-ROUTING IN INTEGRATED ACCESS AND BACKHAUL DEPLOYMENTS
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first wireless node may receive a first indication of an energy-saving configuration for traffic routing associated with a traffic path between the first wireless node and a second wireless node. The first wireless node may transmit a second indication of the energy-saving configuration for traffic routing to the second wireless node. The first wireless node may communicate, with the second wireless node on the traffic path, in accordance with the energy-saving configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.
Systems and methods for flexible software update in a network of moving things
Communication network architectures, systems and methods for supporting a network of mobile nodes. As a non-limiting example, various aspects of this disclosure provide communication network architectures, systems, and methods for supporting a dynamically configurable communication network comprising a complex array of both static and moving communication nodes (e.g., the Internet of moving things).
Method and device for transmitting or receiving information about links in wireless LAN system
The method executed in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system, according to various embodiments, may comprise: a step in which a reception station (STA), which supports a multilink comprising a first link and a second link, receives a target wake time (TWT) element via the first link, wherein the TWT element is received via a beacon and includes information for TWT period configuration for the second link; a step in which the reception STA configures a TWT period for the second link on the basis of the TWT element; and a step in which the reception STA communicates with a transmission STA via the second link within the TWT period.
Systems and methods for beacon alignment for soft access point
Disclosed herein are related to a first device to communicate with a second device and a third device. In one aspect, the first device determines a first time interval to receive a first beacon frame from the second device. In one aspect, the first device determines, according to the first time interval, a second time interval for the first device to transmit a second beacon frame to a third device. In one aspect, the first device determines a third time interval to operate the first device in a wake up mode. The third time interval may encompass the first time interval and the second time interval. In one aspect, the first device receives the first beacon frame from the second device during the first time interval, and transmits the second beacon frame to the third device during the second time interval.
Methods and apparatus for cable network power management
The presentation invention relates to methods and apparatus for managing cable network power consumption. An exemplary method in accordance with one embodiment includes the steps of: receiving, by a cable modem positioned between a cable modem termination system (CMTS) and a wireless base station, CMTS buffer information; receiving, by the cable modem, wireless base station buffer information; switching, by the cable modem, from a first mode of operation to a second mode of operation after performing one or both of: (i) transmitting uplink data to the CMTS, and (ii) transmitting downlink data to the wireless base station, the second mode of operation being a power savings modem of operation; remaining in the power savings mode of operation for a first time period, the first time period being based on at least one of said CMTS buffer information or said wireless base station buffer information.
Method and power control unit for supplying electric power to a radio unit
A method and power control unit for supplying electric power to a first radio unit of a network node in a wireless network. The power control unit obtains a scheduled power demand related to an amount of electric power required in the first radio unit for transmissions scheduled in an imminent time interval such as a resource block or subframe. Then, electric power is supplied to the first radio unit from a power supply unit if the power demand does not exceed a power threshold, or from the power supply unit and a supplementary power source if the power demand exceeds the power threshold. The supplementary power source may comprise a battery that can be connected or disconnected for successive time intervals depending on the scheduled power demand which may fluctuate greatly depending on the first radio unit's transmissions.
INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM AND PERIPHERAL WIRELESS PAIRING BY DEVICE POSITIONING AND ADAPTIVE POWER CONTROL
An information handling system manages automated wireless pairing with phase-based ranging to automatically initiate pairing when the peripheral powers up in an advertising mode within a predetermined range of the information handling system. In one embodiment, a display user interface presents instructions to the end user to move the peripheral to a different distance relative to the information handling system to confirm the pairing. In another embodiment, radio power for the pairing is adjusted based upon the distance to provide communication at substantially the pairing range as further confirmation of pairing to the correct peripheral and additional security for the pairing key exchange.
Backscattering ambient ism band signals
A backscatter tag device includes, in part, a receiver configured to receive a packet conforming to a communication protocol defining a multitude of codewords, a codeword translator configured to translate at least a first subset of the multitude of codewords disposed in the packet to a second multitude of codewords defined by the protocol in response to a data the backscatter tag is invoked to transmit, and a transmitter configured to transmit the packet supplied by the codeword translator at a frequency different than the first frequency at which the packer is received. The communication protocol may optionally be the 802.11 g/n, ZigBee or the Bluetooth communication protocol.
Wireless communication apparatus and method for selecting one or more relay communication devices based on historical and current energy information
An apparatus and method for wireless communication. The apparatus includes processing circuitry: configured to receive a relay establishment request from a source communication device; configured to acquire historical energy information and current energy information about a candidate communication device as a relay candidate, and to determine one or more relay communication devices to be used as a relay based on the acquired information; and configured to send information about the relay establishment to the one or more relay communication devices, the source communication device, and a destination communication device.
