Preambles for wake-up receivers

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for indicating a data rate of a packet. The transmitting device may select the data rate of a data field of the packet to be transmitted to the receiving device, and may select a pattern to embed within a preamble of the packet based on the selected data rate. In some implementations, the transmitting device may select a first structure including a first number of instances of a sequence or its logical complement if the selected data rate is a low data rate, and may select a second structure including a second number of instances of the sequence or its logical complement if the selected data rate is a high data rate.

The disclosed subject matter provides techniques for managing negotiation of power saving mode (PSM) parameters between a user equipment (UE) and core network device of a wireless communication network. In this regard, a method is provided that includes facilitating establishing, by a device comprising a processor, a wireless communication link with a network device of a wireless network. The method can further include, based on a determination that a power saving mode retry protocol for the device is enabled, determining, by the device, a number of times the network device previously instructed the device to use network values for power saving mode timers instead of device values for the power saving mode timers in association with the device operating in a power saving mode.

Systems, methods, and devices having databases and automated reports for electronic spectrum management

Systems, methods and apparatus for spectrum data management for a radio frequency (RF) environment are disclosed. An apparatus comprises at least one receiver, an automatic signal detection (ASD) module, and a learning and conflict detection engine. The apparatus is at the edge of a communication network. The at least one receiver processes RF energy received from the RF environment, thereby generating processed data. The ASD module is configured to extract meta data and detect anomaly based on the processed data. The learning and conflict detection engine is configured for conflict recognition and anomaly identification based on the processed data. The apparatus is operable to generate at least one report for the RF environment.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may transmit a dynamic indication of an updated configuration for an always-on periodic communication associated with the network node. The network node may communicate the always-on periodic communication according to the updated configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.

SHARING OF BASEBAND UNITS IN FIFTH GENERATION NETWORKS AND BEYOND

Described is allocating and deallocating baseband unit resources of a distributed unit based on anticipated and/or actual demand for the resources. For example, when user equipment transitions to a connected state, a corresponding message can be detected and used to determine whether sufficient baseband unit resources are needed to handle the traffic of the newly connecting user equipment. If not, additional baseband unit resources are allocated. When user equipment transitions to an inactive state, the corresponding command can be detected and used to determine whether the baseband unit resources are still needed for other traffic. If not, baseband unit resources are deallocated; that is, if a distributed unit's resources are no longer needed, the distributed unit's resources are deactivated to reduce resource consumption. Deallocation can be performed by changing the resources to a power conservation (e.g., sleep) state, with allocation performed by changing such resources back to an active state.

Wireless communication device, communication system, wireless communication method, and computer program product

A wireless communication device according to an embodiment is a wireless communication device included in a multi-hop network in which data is relayed in multiple stages in time division communication. A decision unit decides an additional slot, based on identification information received from a child node that transmits data to the wireless communication device. A communication processing unit transmits and receives data using the additional slot and a basic slot assigned based on frame information in the time division communication.

Methods, systems, and devices related to digital wireless communication, and more specifically, to techniques related to coordinating DRX for ANR. In one exemplary aspect, a method for wireless communication may include a first network node transmitting a request message to a second network node requesting a discontinuous reception configuration associated with the second network node. In another exemplary aspect, a method for wireless communication includes a first network node transmitting a request message to a second network node, the request message indicating a request to trigger a global cell identification report of a terminal and including information relating to a target cell used for measuring the global cell identification report.

Information handling system and peripheral wireless pairing by device positioning and adaptive power control

An information handling system manages automated wireless pairing with phase-based ranging to automatically initiate pairing when the peripheral powers up in an advertising mode within a predetermined range of the information handling system. In one embodiment, a display user interface presents instructions to the end user to move the peripheral to a different distance relative to the information handling system to confirm the pairing. In another embodiment, radio power for the pairing is adjusted based upon the distance to provide communication at substantially the pairing range as further confirmation of pairing to the correct peripheral and additional security for the pairing key exchange.
