Method and Apparatus having a Discontinuous Reception Configuration
A method and apparatus provide for receiving a discontinuous reception configuration, and receiving a configuration of a physical downlink control channel carrying a power saving downlink control information format, wherein the configuration includes an offset value with respect to a starting time of a discontinuous reception cycle of the discontinuous reception configuration. The power saving downlink control information format is detected at one of one or more monitoring occasions of the physical downlink control channel carrying the power saving downlink control information format. A determination is then made as to whether to start a drx-onDurationTimer its a following discontinuous reception cycle of the discontinuous reception configuration based on a wake-up indication of the power saving downlink control information format. The one or more monitoring occasions is determined, based upon the offset value, the starting time of the discontinuous reception cycle, and at least one search space configuration of the physical downlink control channel carrying the power saving downlink control information format.
Method and apparatus having a discontinuous reception configuration
A method and apparatus provide for receiving a discontinuous reception configuration, and receiving a monitoring configuration of a physical downlink control channel carrying a power saving downlink control information format. One or more monitoring occasions of at least one search space of the physical downlink control channel carrying the power saving downlink control information format based on the monitoring configuration is identified. The power saving downlink control information format is detected at one of the one or more monitoring occasions. A determination is then made as to whether to start a drx-onDurationTimer in a following discontinuous reception cycle based on a wake-up indication of the power saving downlink control information format.
MIMO Capability Information per Cell Group for Power Savings
A wireless device transmits assistance information including first configuration parameters indicating that each cell group of cell groups is associated with a maximum number of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layers for a power saving operation of the wireless device with each of the cell groups operating in a different frequency range. Second configuration parameters, for the power saving operation, are received including: a first maximum number of MIMO layers for a first bandwidth part (BWP) of a first cell group of the cell groups, and a second maximum number of MIMO layers for a second BWP of the first cell. Based on the first cell belonging to the first cell group, the first maximum number and the second maximum number are each less than or equal to the maximum number corresponding to the first cell group.
Public land mobile network selection by user equipment in an inactive mode at a radio resource control layer
This document describes techniques and apparatuses for handling Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) selection while user equipment is in an inactive mode at a radio resource control layer. In aspects, the UE performs a cell-selection procedure that selects a first cell that serves a first Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN). The UE establishes a radio connection to the first PLMN. The UE transitions from a connected mode at a radio resource control layer to an inactive mode at a radio resource control layer. After a period of time, the UE performs a cell-reselection procedure that selects a second cell that serves a second PLMN. The UE determines if the second PLMN is an equivalent PLMN to the first PLMN. If the second PLMN is an equivalent PLMN to the first PLMN, the UE sends an indication to a lower layer that triggers an action.
System and method for uplink timing synchronization in conjunction with discontinuous reception
A system and method are disclosed for providing uplink timing synchronization during DRX operation in a wireless communication system.
Power management techniques for increasing battery life in an alert generation system
This disclosure provides systems and methods for providing an emergency alert notification. An electronic communication device can receive, from an alert generation device, a low power advertising packet responsive to an action performed on the alert generation device. Before the action is performed, the alert generation device can be in a low power state, such as a sleep state, to conserve battery. The action can cause the alert generation device to transition from the low power state to a second state in which the alert generation device begins transmitting the advertising packet. The electronic communication device can identify at least one emergency contact to receive an alert based on a contact policy and can determine an alert type based on the contact policy. The electronic communication device can generate the alert including a request for assistance and can transmit the alert to the at least one emergency contact.
Method and device for transmitting power saving signal
Disclosed are a method and device for transmitting a power saving signal, the method includes: sending, by a network device, a power saving signal to a terminal device, wherein the power saving signal comprises a first sequence, the first sequence is used to indicate at least part of identification information related to the terminal device, and/or the first sequence is used for the terminal device to perform time-frequency synchronization; wherein the identification information related to the terminal device comprises: an identity of a device group which the terminal device belongs to, a device identity of the terminal device, and Physical Cell Identification (PCI) information of a cell where the terminal device resides.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application relates to a communication method and apparatus. A first device determines to process a first radio bearer in a first processing manner. The first processing manner activates or deactivates a data packet compression function of the first radio bearer. Then, the first device sends first information, where the first information is used to indicate the first processing manner. The first device can send the first information to indicate to activate or deactivate the data packet compression function, which means that the data packet compression function can be deactivated.
Mobile communication system, base station, mobile station, and power-saving transmission and reception method used in them
Provided is a mobile station which communicates with abase station using a radio channel, the mobile station comprising: a switching unit configured to switch from a packet reception period, during which packet reception can be executed, to a packet reception halt period, during which packet reception is halted; a transmission unit configured to transmit, to the base station, a result of receiving a packet sent from the base station, as a reception result notification signal; a packet reception determination unit configured to determine a packet reception fault; and a reception period determination unit configured to extend the packet reception period if the packet reception fault is determined by the packet reception determination unit.
Scheduling of network traffic for wireless communications devices
Systems, methods, and devices schedule network traffic for wireless communications devices. Methods include identifying a plurality of stations included in a first network, and generating, using one or more processors of a first access point, a network traffic schedule configured to assign a plurality of service periods to the plurality of stations, the network traffic schedule identifying a plurality of sleep times and wake times for the plurality of stations. Methods further include transmitting a query frame to at least one station of the plurality of stations during a designated service period, and receiving a data transmission from the at least one station, the data transmission being generated by the station based on transmission parameters included in the query frame.
