Techniques for uplink transmissions

Various aspects described herein relate to techniques for uplink transmissions in wireless communication systems. In an aspect, a method includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), hopping information for two consecutive symbols, generating, by the UE, a first symbol of the two consecutive symbols using a format, generating, by the UE, a second symbol of the two consecutive symbols based on the format and the hopping information, and transmitting, by the UE, the two consecutive symbols in an uplink signal.

Signal transmission power adjustment in a wireless device

Wireless communications are described. A wireless device may be configured to transmit a first signal via a first cell that may overlap in time with a second signal via a second cell. The wireless device may adjust a signal transmission power of at least one of the first signal or the second signal. Additionally or alternatively, the wireless device may drop at least one of the first signal or the second signal. Adjusting and/or dropping at least one of the first signal or the second signal may be based on the overlap in time of these signals satisfying a duration threshold and a total power to transmit the first signal and the second signal exceeding a power threshold.

Methods and apparatus are provided for a base station to trigger transmissions of sounding reference signals (SRS) from one or multiple user equipments (UEs) on one or multiple cells and for a UE to determine a power, a time instance, and other parameters for SRS transmissions in response to the triggering. A SRS transmission can be on a cell where a UE is not configured to transmit data or control information.

A user equipment (UE) receives a parameter indicating a power control loop out of a plurality of power control loops and a first transmit power control (TPC) command. The UE transmit a first uplink physical channel based on the first TPC command and the indicated power control loop. Further, the UE receive a single downlink channel, wherein the single downlink channel carries a channel allocation and a second TPC command for the UE. The UE transmit a second uplink physical channel using resources based on the channel allocation and at a transmission power level based on the second TPC command.

APPARATUS AND SYSTEM

An apparatus according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a communication module that includes a transmitter that carries out an uplink transmission of an uplink shared channel (physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH)), and a processor that controls a transmission power used in the uplink transmission based on: a value that is calculated based on a number of resource blocks of the uplink transmission and one of a plurality of numerologies having different subcarrier spacings, and a transmission power command (TPC) included in a downlink control information (DCI) format, wherein information about the one of the plurality of numerologies is received via higher layer signaling; and an input apparatus that accepts an input, wherein the PUSCH contains information based on the input. In another aspect, a system is also disclosed.
