A wireless communication method and a device are provided. The wireless communication system includes a second control device, at least one first control device, and at least one terminal. The second control device transmits a first synchronization signal, where the first synchronization signal provides synchronization information of at least one communication sub-system in a wireless communication system.

FACILITATING THE USE OF RANDOM ACCESS CHANNEL OCCASIONS FOR FULL-DUPLEX COMMUNICATION
20230224977 · 2023-07-13 ·

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for facilitating the use of random access channel occasions for full-duplex communication. An example method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a first group of UEs may include receiving, from a base station (BS) of a wireless network, a first indication indicating, from a first plurality of random access channel occasions (ROs) not available for use by a second group of UEs within the wireless network, a set of ROs that are available for use by the first group of UEs within the wireless network, receiving a first signal of a plurality of signals transmitted by the BS, and transmitting, in response to receiving the first signal, a random access preamble in a first RO of the set of ROs based on a mapping between the first signal and the first RO.

Sidelink groupcast scheduling

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a sidelink scheduling request for groupcast sidelink communications with a set of one or more UEs. The base station may determine one or more UEs of the set of UEs and time-frequency resources for groupcast sidelink communication between the first UE and the one or more UEs. The first UE may receive, from the base station, a groupcast sidelink grant that indicates time-frequency resources for groupcast sidelink communications between the first UE and one or more UEs. The first UE may transmit, via the time-frequency resources indicated by the groupcast sidelink grant, a groupcast sidelink message to the one or more UEs. The one or more UEs may also receive the sidelink grant, and may monitor the time-frequency resources for a groupcast sidelink communication from the first UE.

Method and apparatus for group scheduling for PDCCH overhead reduction

Methods and apparatuses for group scheduling for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) overhead reduction. A method of operating a UE includes receiving first configuration information for reception of first PDCCHs. A PDCCH from the first PDCCHs provides a first downlink control information (DCI) format that includes a first number of information bits. The method further includes receiving second configuration information for a location of a second number of information bits, smaller than the first number of information bits, in the first DCI format; receiving at least one of the first PDCCHs; and determining, from the second number of information bits, values of one or more fields associated with reception of a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or with transmission of a first physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH).

Ultra-Lean Priority-Aware Uplink Access Scheduling for 5G and 6G
20230224897 · 2023-07-13 ·

Uplink access in 5G and 6G is tightly controlled by the base station. Prior art procedures can impose access delays, such as waiting for a periodic scheduling request opportunity, which may be excessive for some user devices. Disclosed is a compact and responsive procedure for the base station to provide access to high-priority user devices first, and then low-priority user devices in a cascaded manner. The low-priority user devices are allocated to sections and, on a periodic schedule, can transmit a signal indicating which sections include at least one user device seeking access. Then the base station can provide a user poll region in which the ready user devices can submit their scheduling requests on pre-assigned subcarriers, but including only those sections that have at least one ready user devices. High-priority users are thus served first, while time and resources are saved by ignoring sections that have no ready users.

SIDELINK BUFFER STATUS REPORT FOR MULTIPLE DESTINATION DEVICES
20230224903 · 2023-07-13 ·

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from each of multiple devices that communicate with the UE via one or more sidelink channels, information indicating a buffer status of the device. The UE may transmit, to a base station, a buffer status report that indicates a combined sidelink buffer status for the multiple devices. Numerous other aspects are described.

Priority-based MU-MIMO pairing threshold for codebook beamforming in 5G NR massive MIMO systems
11558089 · 2023-01-17 · ·

Methods, media, and systems are provided for a priority-based multi-user (MU) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) pairing threshold for codebook beamforming. The methods, media, and systems identify a plurality of user device candidates for a user device pairing. A first user device of the plurality of user device candidates having a higher priority than another user device of the plurality of user device candidates is identified. A correlation of the first user device with a second user device of the plurality of user device candidates is determined to be below a threshold. Based on determining that the correlation is below the threshold, the first user device is paired with the second user device for sharing a resource.

Apparatus and method for scheduled uplink multi-user access with concurrent peer-to-peer communications

Some embodiments include an apparatus and method for enabling concurrent peer-to-peer (P2P) communications via a scheduled resource unit (RU) allocated by an access point (AP). For example, the AP may use a trigger frame to schedule uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) access for a first station of a plurality of stations by allocating an RU to the first station. Instead of using the allocated RU for UL infrastructure communications with the AP, the first station may utilize the allocated RU for a P2P communications with a second station. In some embodiments the AP facilitates RU utilization for P2P communications between stations. In some embodiments, the first station uses the allocated RU and the AP may be unaware of the P2P communications.
