SIDELINK-ASSISTED POSITION ESTIMATION PROCEDURE

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a position estimation entity (e.g., UE, gNB, LMF, etc.) identifies a pool of UEs for a SL-assisted position estimation procedure of a set of target UEs. SL SRS-Ps are communicated (e.g., transmitted and measured) between the pool of UEs (e.g., for relative SL ranging). UL SRS-Ps are communicated by at least some of the UEs in the pool of UEs. The position estimation entity obtains measurement data for both the SL SRS-P and UL-SRS-P communications. The position estimation entity determines a position estimate for each UE in the set of UEs based on the measurement information.

During operation, the system can establish, at a first switch, a tunnel with a second switch in an overlay tunnel fabric that includes the first and second switches. Upon establishing the tunnel, the system can generate a discovery packet comprising a first set of discovery information indicating the configuration and capabilities of the first switch associated with the tunnel. The system can send the discovery packet to the second switch via the tunnel prior to initiating payload data communication via the tunnel. The system can also receive a second discovery packet from the second switch via the tunnel. The second discovery packet can include a second set of discovery information indicating the configuration and capabilities of the second switch associated with the tunnel. The system can then store the second set of discovery information in an entry of a data structure.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Beam pair link (BPLs) may be associated with a state of a wireless device. For example, a first wireless device may communicate with a second wireless device using a set of BPLs, and the second wireless device may operate using a predetermined movement sequence, where different movements may correspond to the second wireless device using respective states. In some examples, a BPL may be selected for each state of the second wireless device and used to communicate with the first wireless device, where the BPL that corresponds to a particular state may be determined through beam training procedures. In some cases, BPLs associated with respective states may experience decreased link quality and the first wireless device may transmit a configuration that modifies the communications between the first and second wireless devices based on the affected BPLs.
