Information processing device and receiving method

An information processing device according to one aspect of the present invention includes a receiver configured to receive a packet for one-way communication including data from an external device, an application execution unit configured to execute an application which processes the data, and an intermittent reception parameter adjustment unit configured to adjust an intermittent reception parameter for controlling an intermittent reception operation of the receiver so that when the application is operating in a background, a duty ratio of the intermittent reception operation is smaller than when the application is operating in a foreground.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANAGING SNPN ACCESS MODE

A method disclosed herein includes selecting, by the UE, a SNPN for registration, on the SNPN access mode being enabled. The method includes disabling, by the UE, the SNPN access mode, if the selected SNPN does not support at least one emergency service. The method includes enabling, by the UE, a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) selection mode to select a PLMN cell supporting the at least one emergency service, on the SNPN access mode being disabled. The method includes performing, by the UE, the at least one emergency service by camping on the selected PLMN cell. The method includes enabling, by the UE, the SNPN access mode for performing a SNPN selection procedure, on completion of the at least one emergency service.

A network system comprises a first logic block providing a link to a first network via an access point of a WLAN and a second logic block communicating with a node of a second network (such as a WPAN) and configured to provide a link between the node and the first network via the access point. The network system is configured to maintain continuous connections to both the access point and the node while receiving power. The second logic block can communicate with the node using a modified communication protocol that is only partially compliant with an 802.11x communications protocol. A wireless hub can integrate a WPAN with a WLAN including, in part, a wireless circuit compliant with the WLAN standard (such as an 802.11x standard), a processor, and a memory. The wireless circuit can connect to the WPAN without losing connectivity (such as association and synchronization) to the WLAN.

Power management of a personal area fabric

A power management system for a personal area fabric having a plurality of nodes is presented. The system implements power management functions at the fabric-level via fabric-level power profiles reflecting the aggregated power profiles from some or all of the nodes in the fabric. The fabric-level power profiles are used to trigger the implementation of fabric power configurations that cause the individual nodes to modify their operations in the interest of a fabric-level power management plan.

To provide a wireless communication device that can reduce the influence of periodic noises in fixed period communication using wireless communication. A wireless master device (N201) serving as a wireless master station for performing wireless communication with a wireless slave device (N301) serving as a wireless slave station includes a delay control portion (14) configured to set a delay time onto an input signal at random in every transmission period, and a wireless transmission portion (13) configured to transmit the signal to the wireless slave station (N301), while delaying the signal based on the delay time.

Direct connection with side channel control

A wireless computer that pairs with a remote audio-video presentation device, such as a television. As a result of the pairing, a communication channel is established for the computer to transmit audio-video content for presentation through that device. Additionally, as part of the pairing, the computer and remote device select a side channel for communication of user commands. The wireless computer may display a user interface through which a user may input commands that control the manner in which the remote audio-video device presents the content. As a result, a user may use the wireless computer as a remote control for the audio-video device, controlling both the content presented and the manner in which it is presented. The side channel may use different frequencies than the channel used to communicate audio-video content, and may use very low power at frequencies in the digital TV spectrum.

Simultaneous multi-mode WiFi differentiated by SSID

Embodiments provide a wireless network with several access points connected to a communication infrastructure. Residential or business customers of the Internet are provided an Internet interface (e.g., a digital subscriber line (DSL) modem) having a wireless transceiver. Two or more users may access the Internet or other network through the Internet interface. Each user can be assigned a unique Service Set-Identifier (SSID) with each SSID associated with a type of service (e.g., user video service, backhaul service, etc.). The amount of bandwidth assigned to the type of service (and user) may be governed by the equipment according to the assigned SSID.

Provided is a method for configuring a wireless connection between a mobile wireless terminal and a mobile wireless network, in which the mobile wireless network contains at least one first subnetwork, which is accessible with a credential of at least a first type, and contains at least one second subnetwork, which is accessible with a credential of at least a second type, and a first wireless connection to a first subnetwork and a second wireless connection to a second subnetwork have different wireless transmission parameters. In the event of a request for access by the mobile wireless terminal to a selected subnetwork—a predetermined credential is determined for the request for access to the selected subnetwork, the type of the predetermined credential is determined, and—at least one wireless transmission parameter is selected and activated depending on the determined type of the predetermined credential.

COMMUNICATION DEVICE, ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, AND WIRELESS CONNECTION METHOD

A communication device comprises a first communication unit and a second communication unit of a same type as that of the first communication unit. The first communication unit or the second communication unit is configured to transmit, after wireless connection to an electronic apparatus is established, a waiting instruction signal for instructing the electronic apparatus to enter a state in which the electronic apparatus waits for a connection request.
