Thereafter, the method comprises configuring a second wireless device of the wireless MBAN as a new master if the battery status and communication performance of the master drops below that of the second wireless device; and routing data transfer within the wireless MBAN depending on the battery status and communication performance of the wireless devices of the wireless MBAN.

SECURE KEY EXCHANGE MECHANISM IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20230209335 · 2023-06-29 · ·

Security features for a wireless communications system including encryption and decryption of communications, secure key exchange, secure pairing, and secure re-pairing are provided. The encryption/decryption mechanism uses AES-256 block cypher with counter mode to generate blocks of cypher bits used to encrypt and decrypt communications between a master and devices. Session keys are generated using a random salt and a counter value. The random salt is generated using a secure random number generator. A master key or device key is also used in generating session keys. Impermanent session keys are used to encrypt/decrypt finite amount of data. Thereafter, the session key is replaced and cypher bits are generated using the new session key. A synchronized key jump procedure ensures that the master and device switch to the new session key at the same time.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR AUTORIZING ACCESS TO A SERVICE ACCORDING TO DEVICE PROXIMITY
20170374605 · 2017-12-28 ·

A device and a method for authorizing access to a service on a first device upon detection of a second device located in near proximity, while preferably using broadcast transmission, is disclosed. The second device broadcasts on a second broadcast network a message comprising at least a group identifier common to the set of devices that can access the service and a time reference value corresponding to the emission time of the message, according to a common time reference received by all devices from a first broadcast network. The first device authorizes access to the service only if the group identifier received from the message is the same as the group identifier of the device and if the delay between the measured arrival of the message and its emission time is lower than a threshold.

LOCAL NETWORK FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS EXCHANGE OF DATA BETWEEN A DRONE AND A PLURALITY OF USER TERMINALS

A primary user terminal is interfaced with the drone so as to constitute a local network of the infrastructure type, where the drone is configured as an access point (AP) and the primary user terminal is configured as a mobile station. The primary user terminal comprises an adaptive software program able i) to generate piloting and control instructions to be transmitted to the drone, and ii) to establish a connection to the local network and to register the primary user terminal into a registration table of the drone. The network further comprises at least one secondary user terminal with an applicative software program adapted to establish a connection to the local network and to register the secondary user terminal into the registration table of the drone with a hierarchized management of the rights with respect to the primary terminal.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BACK CHANNEL COMMUNICATION

Aspects of the disclosure relate generally to a method for controlling a vehicle based on crowdsourcing data. According to the method, the vehicle transmits a route request to a server, receive navigation information in response to the route request, controls an operation of the vehicle based on the transmitted navigation information, collects vehicle driving data, during driving according to the transmitted navigation information, transmits the collected data to the server, receives generated crowdsourcing data, updates the transmitted navigation information based on the received crowdsourcing data, and controls the operation of the vehicle based on the updated navigation information.

True wireless solution for BT stereo audio playback

The technology relates to establishing wireless communication links, or connections, between a first audio accessory device, a second audio accessory device, and a client computing device. After receiving signals from the client computing device to initiate audio output, the first audio accessory device and the second audio accessory device may both perform a series of steps in parallel to establish connections with the client computing device and with each other. The series of steps may include relaying one or more acknowledgement (ACK) signals between the audio accessory devices in order to confirm proper receipt of the signals from the client computing device at both audio accessory devices. Alternatively, the series of steps may include transmitting a jamming signal from one of the audio accessory devices in order to prevent an ACK signal from the other audio accessory device from reaching the client computing device and initiating audio output.
