Gunshot detection system with forensic data retention, live audio monitoring, and two-way communication
A gunshot detection system includes gunshot sensor units with microphones for detecting gunshots and capturing audio data depicting the detected gunshots and other ambient sounds, an environmental board with various environmental sensors for generating environmental data indicating environmental conditions. The audio data, environmental data, and position information can be stored locally on local nonvolatile storage of the gunshot sensor unit for later retrieval by law enforcement entities. In one embodiment, the gunshot sensor units include a wired and/or wireless data transfer interface for transferring the audio data, environmental data and/or position information to handheld units of law enforcement entities. The gunshot sensor unit can also stream live captured audio data for live monitoring by a control panel, and might also include speakers for providing audio playback of audio data from the control panel.
UPLINK POWER CONTROL PRIORITIZATION IN DUAL CONNECTIVITY
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently performing dynamic power control with minimal complexity in a dual connectivity mode. In particular, a user equipment (UE) may determine the reserved power (or maximum available power) for uplink transmissions on one or more cells in one cell group to a base station based on the total power available to the UE and the minimum reserved power for uplink transmissions on one or more cells in another cell group. Once the UE determines the reserved power for conflicting uplink transmissions on one or more cells in a cell group, the UE may allocate the reserved power to each uplink transmission on the one or more cells in the cell group (e.g., based on a priority of each of the uplink transmissions).
Coordinating User Equipment Selection
Methods, devices, systems, and means for selection of a coordinating user equipment, UE, in a user equipment-coordination set, UECS, that facilitates selection of the coordinating UE by the UEs in the UECS are described herein. Sharing of the role of coordinating UE by UEs in the UECS can be scheduled in a round-robin manner. Selection criteria can be used to determine which one or more UEs in the UECS will offer better performance in the role of coordinating UE.
SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, MASTER STATION DEVICE AND LINE CONNECTION METHOD
A satellite communication system communicates via a communication satellite using one of a plurality of portable station devices as a master station device and another portable station device as a slave station device. The master station device transmits a first control signal for the slave station device to establish synchronization. The master station device determines that the slave station device is in a communicable state by a second control signal received from the slave station device that has received the first control signal and established synchronization. The master station device selects one of at least one slave station devices in a communicable state and transmits a third control signal for instructing start of transmission of a communication signal to the selected slave station device and the subject device. Due to this, it is possible to connect a channel between portable station devices without the intervention of a control station device or a regulation station device.
Remotely detectable transportable game and fishing alarm system
An alarm system having a portable body carried controller that wireless communicates with multiple remote base units each having a wireless communications system configured for ultralow power mode operation where the communications system is put in sleep mode greater than one half packet transmission time but no greater than preamble transmission time to conserve battery life. Controller has multiple LED-equipped buttons assigned to corresponding base units during pairing which are respectively activated when the corresponding base unit assigned thereto alarms upon occurrence of a sensor detection event. Pressing the button can turn off the LED alarm, can poll the assigned base unit, and can task the assigned base unit including to operate in flashlight mode where base unit is lit up. A preferred base unit has an enclosure with legs that form reversible pedestals upon which base unit can be placed.
User equipment category signaling in an LTE-5G configuration
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for user equipment category signaling. In some example embodiments, there may be provided a method that includes receiving, by a user equipment in dual connectivity with a master base station providing an Evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network and with a secondary base station providing a next generation radio access network, a request for capability information; generating, by the user equipment, category information, the category information indicating, to the master base station and the secondary base station, an achievable data rate for the user equipment over the dual connectivity, the category information being common to both the Evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network and the next generation radio access network; and providing, by the user equipment, capability information to the master base station, the capability information including the generated category information. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also described.
WIRELESS DEVICE
A wireless device is a wireless device operable to switch between a function of a master wireless device and a function of a slave wireless device in a group to which multiple wireless devices belong, where the multiple wireless devices communicate with each other using a synchronization signal, the master wireless device controls another wireless device belonging to the group, and the slave wireless device is controlled by the master wireless device. The wireless device includes a transmission unit capable of transmitting a signal, a reception unit capable of receiving a signal, and a control unit that causes the transmission unit to transmit, toward the master wireless device, information about a synchronization signal detected, when the wireless device is operating as the slave wireless device, and the reception unit receives and detects the synchronization signal from a wireless device not belonging to the group.
Bluetooth mesh network provisioning
Information reported by one or more gateway nodes in a Bluetooth mesh network regarding an unprovisioned Bluetooth device is received. Provisioning data for the unprovisioned Bluetooth device is generated. A destination Bluetooth gateway node to which to issue the generated provisioning data is determined from among the one or more gateway nodes reporting the received information. The generated provisioning data is issued to the destination Bluetooth gateway node so that the destination Bluetooth gateway node can perform a provisioning operation directed at the unprovisioned Bluetooth device.
Portable communication device cooperation system, master portable communication device, and slave portable communication device
A portable communication device cooperation system includes a slave portable communication device that can communicate with a master portable communication device. Each of a plurality of slave-side slots of a slave-side storage unit included in the slave portable communication device stores a slave application program transferred from a master-side slot disposed in the master portable communication device. The slave application program includes part of information of a master application program, and causes the slave portable communication device to operate by being executed by a slave-side control unit of the slave portable communication device. As a result, the portable communication device cooperation system, the master portable communication device, and the slave portable communication device exhibit an effect of enabling the slave portable communication device to be variously used.
