Mobility in enterprise networks
Embodiments of methods and systems for mobility in enterprise networks are presented. The methods and systems described herein provide a mobile wireless device with access to both an enterprise network and an external network by establishing a proxy connection between a gateway component of the enterprise network and a gateway component of the external network. Such embodiments may maintain the security of the enterprise network. Additionally, such embodiments may not require modification of the User Equipment (UE) or of components of the external network. Indeed, the methods and systems may operate transparently to both the UE and to components of the external network.
Multimedia messaging proxy for non-compliant communication devices
Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for allowing non-compliant communication devices to receive multimedia messages. In a particular embodiment, a method provides receiving, from a multimedia messaging system, a content identifier that a destination communication device will use to access content of a multimedia message transferred from a first communication device. The method further provides determining a device identifier for the destination communication device and inserting the device identifier into the content identifier. After inserting the device identifier, the method provides transferring the content identifier to the destination communication device.
METHOD FOR MANAGING A PROXY TABLE IN A WIRELESS NETWORK USING PROXY DEVICES
The invention relates to a proxy node comprising means for managing a proxy table,
a receiver for receiving a message from a first resource restricted device, said message being intended to at least one corresponding destination device, control means for checking whether an entry for the first resource restricted device is included in the set of entries of the proxy table, the set of entries of the proxy table indicating the set of resource-restricted devices the proxy node is in charge of,
a transmitter for forwarding the message depending on the result of the proxy table checking, the means for managing the proxy table being arranged for cleaning the proxy table of the entry relative to the resource-restricted device by monitoring the relative usage of the proxy node for forwarding messages for the resource restricted device with the usage of competitor proxy nodes for forwarding messages for the resource restricted device.
LOCATION REPORTING IN A WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK, SUCH AS FOR LIVE BROADCAST DATA STREAMING
Systems and methods for deriving and providing mobile device locations are disclosed. The method includes a communication network detecting one or more triggering conditions. Based on the triggering conditions, the network may derive a current location of the mobile device. The current location may be sent to the mobile device and/or another device communicating with the mobile device.
Mobile network interaction proxy
A system and method for integrating a mobile network with an edge computing system is disclosed. In one embodiment, a method performed by a communication node includes: identifying edge computing parameters for an edge computing system, wherein the edge computing parameters are used for routing user plane data to the edge computing system using a control plane of a mobile network; determining that communications are to be performed at the edge computing system in accordance with the edge computing parameters; and sending the edge computing parameters to the control plane.
Clientless VPN Roaming with 802.1x Authentication
The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for clientless virtual private network (VPN) roaming with 802.1x authentication and includes one or more processors and one or more computer-readable non-transitory storage media coupled to the one or more processors and comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause one or more components to perform operations including, receiving, at a local proxy, an 802.1x communication including authentication information from a remote device wirelessly connected to a visited network, wherein the remote device requests access to an enterprise network; authenticating the remote device with the enterprise network using the authentication information; establishing an encrypted tunnel between the visited network and the enterprise network; and transmitting data between the remote device and the enterprise network through the encrypted tunnel.
Inclusion of a message proxy in a service based architecture
A method for handling a service discovery request for a service provided by a service based architecture communications network. The service discovery request is received from a client, the received service discovery request has a plurality of service related parameters. A service identifier is assigned to the service discovery request, the identifier linking the received service discovery request to the plurality of service related parameters. The plurality of service related parameters are stored. A service discovery response is transmitted to the client in response to the received service discovery request. A subsequent request related to the service is received. The plurality of service related parameters for the subsequent request based on the received service identifier present in the subsequent request and the stored plurality of service related parameters is determined. A list of processing entities capable of handling the subsequent request related to the service is determined.
METHOD FOR REALLOCATING A DATA PROCESSING PERIPHERAL SERVER
A method for reallocating a data processing peripheral server in an MEC architecture includes: a prior step of allocating a current peripheral server to process data for a mobile device, by a management unit, selecting a new peripheral server by the management unit, and notifying peripheral server reallocation to the current peripheral server by the management unit. The selecting is preceded by receiving, by the management unit, of a message dispatched by the mobile device and including a data item representative of a quality of service measured at the level of the mobile device.
REDIRECT SERVER IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK
A redirect server is configured in a service-based architecture, SBA, domain of a wireless communication network. The redirect server may receive configuration signaling indicating that a location of a resource or service in the SBA domain has changed from an old location to a new location. The redirect server receives, from a requestor in the SBA domain, a request that targets the old location of the resource or service in the SBA domain. The redirect, responsive to the request, transmits, from the redirect server to the requestor, a response that redirects the requestor to the new location of the resource or service in the SBA domain.
Method and apparatus for monitoring SAS CPAS performance in CBRS systems
A method for monitoring performance of Cooperative Periodic Activity between Spectrum Access Systems (CPAS) process in a network operating Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CRBS). The method comprises performing a first check of a status of a transmission Grant of a Citizens Broadband Radio service Device (CBSD) at the start of the CPAS process and if the result of the first check indicates that the Grant is suspended then performing a second check of the status of said transmission Grant at the end of the CPAS process. The method further comprises raising an alarm if the result of the second check indicates that the Grant is suspended. An apparatus and a network implementing the method are also disclosed.
