GOLF BALL
An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball travelling a great flight distance on driver shots on a rainy day and having excellent spin performance on approach shots. The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a golf ball body and a paint film covering the golf ball body and composed of at least one layer, wherein an outermost layer of the paint film is formed from a paint containing a polyol, a polyisocyanate, and a carbinol modified silicone oil different from the polyol compound.
Matte golf ball coating paint composition, matte golf ball, and manufacturing method
Disclosed is a matte golf ball paint composition that provides a solution to the problem with a golf ball having a difficulty of taking on the original color of the cover due to scattering of the color incurred during the injection molding of the ball, thus helping deliver the original color of the cover; a matte golf ball that not only takes on the original color of the cover but also provides a combination of improved driving distance, spin, and control; and a method for manufacturing a matte golf ball with excellent weather resistance, water resistance, yellowing resistance, and abrasion resistance.
GOLF BALL
In a golf ball having a core, a cover, at least one intermediate layer therebetween, and a coating layer on the cover, the cover is formed of a transparent or translucent resin composition and the intermediate layer is formed of a resin composition. The sphere consisting of the core encased by the intermediate layer has specific lightness and chroma values in the Lab color space. The coating layer is composed of one or more layer, at least one of which contains an effect pigment having polarizing properties. Markings are provided inside of the coating layer and have a specific L value. During use, the ball retains a visual to familiarity close to that of a white ball. Up close, it is clearly discernible from a white ball; from a distance, it appears white and is highly visible.
GOLF BALLS HAVING COVERS MADE WITH THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE AND POLYDIMETHYLSILOXANE BLEND COMPOSITIONS
Golf balls having covers made of thermoplastic polyurethane compositions are provided. Multi-piece golf balls can be made. In one embodiment, the outer cover layer is formed from a composition comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane and polydimethylsiloxane compound. Functionalized polydimethylsiloxane compounds also can be used to treat thermoplastic polyurethane golf ball covers. The cover composition and surface coatings can further include catalysts, ultraviolet (UV)—light stabilizers, and other additives. The coating methods have many benefits and the finished balls with thermoplastic polyurethane covers have good physical properties.
Golf ball
A golf ball 2 includes a main body 4 and a paint layer 6 positioned outside the main body 4. The main body 4 includes a spherical core 8, a mid layer 10 positioned outside the core 8, and a cover 12 positioned outside the mid layer 10. An indentation depth, measured when the paint layer 6 in a cross-section along a plane passing through a central point of the golf ball 2 is pressed by a force of 30 mgf in a direction perpendicular to the cross-section, is not less than 300 nm and not greater than 3000 nm. The paint layer 6 preferably has a thickness of not less than 5 μm and not greater than 50 μm.
GOLF BALL
A golf ball having a cover with a plurality of dimples on the surface thereof is provided with a coat of mutually differing properties on dimple areas of the surface and on land areas between the dimples. The land areas are formed with a coat having a high coefficient of friction and the dimple areas have a surface energy of not more than 32 dynes, enabling a lower spin rate to be achieved and thus increasing the distance traveled by the ball, particularly when struck with a middle iron, and also help impart a high spin rate and a good controllability on approach shots.
GOLF BALL
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a golf ball which has excellent spin performance on approach shots and from which stain such as mud or grass juice can be wiped off when the golf ball has the stain adhered thereto. The present disclosure provides a golf ball comprising a golf ball body and a paint film composed of at least one layer and formed on a surface of the golf ball body, wherein an outermost layer of the paint film includes, as a base resin, a polyurethane obtained by a reaction between a polyisocyanate composition and a polyol composition, the polyol composition contains, as a polyol component, a polyrotaxane having at least two hydroxyl groups and a urethane polyol, and the outermost layer of the paint film has a tackiness of 0.294 N or more measured with a friction tester under specific conditions:
GOLF BALL
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a golf ball which has excellent spin performance on short iron shots to long iron shots while maintaining a flight distance on driver shots and from which stain such as mud or grass juice can be wiped off when the stain is adhered to the golf ball. The present disclosure provides a golf ball comprising a golf ball body and a paint film composed of at least one layer and formed on a surface of the golf ball body, wherein an outermost layer of the paint film includes, as a base resin, a polyurethane obtained by a reaction between a polyisocyanate composition and a polyol composition, and the polyol composition contains, as a polyol component, a polyrotaxane having at least two hydroxyl groups and a polycarbonate diol having a number average molecular weight in a range from 400 to 900.
