AEROSOL GENERATING DEVICE AND ELECTROMAGNETIC HEATING ASSEMBLY THEREOF
An electromagnetic heating assembly includes: a fixing tube with two run-through ends for fixing an aerosol-forming substrate; a heating body at least partially extending from a first end of the fixing tube into the fixing tube and inserted into the aerosol-forming substrate in the fixing tube; and an induction coil sleeved on a periphery of the fixing tube for generating electromagnetic induction under an energized state so as to cause the heating body to heat. A ratio of a total height of the induction coil to a depth by which the heating body is inserted into the aerosol-forming substrate in the fixing tube ranges from 1:1 to 3:1.
ARTICLE FOR USE IN A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
An article for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system includes an aerosol-generating section with a plurality of strands and/or strips of aerosol-generating material. The aerosol-generating section is circumscribed by a moisture impermeable wrapper and a cooling section is provided directly adjacent to the aerosol-generating section. The cooling section can have at least one of a hollow channel having an internal diameter of between about 1 mm and about 4 mm or a maximum of 32% of the cross-sectional area of the cooling section being a hollow channel. A non-combustible aerosol provision system is also described.
ELECTROMAGNETIC INDUCTION CONTINUOUS-FLOW MILK HEATER IN AN AUTOMATIC BEVERAGE VENDING MACHINE
An electromagnetic induction continuous-flow milk heater for an automatic beverage vending machine has a tubular body that includes an inlet and an outlet. Milk to be heated into the tubular body. Heated milk flows out of the tubular body through the outlet. An electrical winding is wound around the tubular body that can be electrically powered to generate an electromagnetic induction field. The tubular body is made of an electrically conductive material to enable heating by electromagnetic induction from the electromagnetic induction field. The heater can include an insert housed inside the tubular body that extends along a longitudinal axis of the tubular body. The tubular body and the insert delimit, at least between an external surface of the insert and an internal surface of the tubular body, a helical flow channel for the milk, which extends in a helix around the longitudinal axis.
INDUCTION HARDENING SYSTEM AND INDUCTION HARDENING METHOD
An inductive hardening system for hardening a component includes a holding unit for holding the component, an induction coil configured to induce an electrical current in the component to heat the component, and a control unit configured to control the induction coil to produce a first amount of heat per unit area in the component until a predetermined temperature is reached and/or a predetermined time is elapsed and after the predetermined temperature is reached and/or the predetermined time is elapsed, to control the induction coil to produce a second amount of heat per unit area in the component, the second amount of heat being from 3% to 80% of the first amount of heat.
INDUCTION HARDENING SYSTEM
An induction hardening system for inductively hardening a component includes a first inductor group with at least two inductors configured to heat a region to be hardened on the component, a drive unit configured to move the component along the at least two inductors, and a generator. The at least two inductors are electrically energized by the generator, and the generator is configured to send a current of a same frequency and a same strength to the at least two inductors of the first inductor group.
CARTRIDGE FOR USE WITH APPARATUS FOR HEATING SMOKABLE MATERIAL
Disclosed is a cartridge for use with apparatus for heating smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material, the cartridge including: a container defining a cavity, and smokable material located in the cavity, wherein the cartridge includes heating material that is heatable by penetration with a varying magnetic field to heat the smokable material. Also disclosed is apparatus for heating smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material, the apparatus including: an interface for cooperating with an article comprising smokable material, a magnetic field generator for generating a varying magnetic field for penetrating the article when the interface is cooperating with the article, and a device for puncturing the article.
AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICE WITH SLIDING CONTACTS FOR INDUCTION COIL
An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a heating arrangement including an induction coil, a first sliding arrangement including a first contact, the first sliding arrangement being arranged adjacent to the induction coil of the heating arrangement and being configured to slide parallel to a longitudinal axis of the induction coil, and the first contact being mounted on the first sliding arrangement and being arranged to contact the induction coil; and a second sliding arrangement including a second contact, the second sliding arrangement being arranged adjacent to the induction coil of the heating arrangement and being configured to slide parallel to a longitudinal axis of the induction coil, and the second contact being mounted on the second sliding arrangement and being arranged to contact the induction coil, in which alternating current is supplied to the induction coil between the first contact and the second contact.
A Cartridge for a Vapour Generating Device
A cartridge (10, 72) for a vapour generating device (100) comprises an inductively heatable susceptor (54) and a porous liquid transfer element (56) configured to convey vapour generating liquid to the inductively heatable susceptor (54). The porous liquid transfer element (56) has a longitudinal axis (57) and includes a recess (60) accommodating at least part of the inductively heatable susceptor (54). The recess (60) includes a support surface (80) which is inclined relative to the longitudinal axis (57) to support at least part of the inductively heatable susceptor (54).
A Cartridge for a Vapour Generating Device
A cartridge (10, 72) for a vapour generating device comprises an inductively heatable susceptor (54) and a porous liquid transfer element (56) configured to convey vapour generating liquid to the inductively heatable susceptor (54). The porous liquid transfer element (56) has a longitudinal axis (57) and defines an airflow channel (62) extending substantially in a longitudinal direction defined by the longitudinal axis (57). The porous liquid transfer element (56) also includes a recess (60), and at least part of the inductively heatable susceptor (54) is accommodated in the recess (60) and at least part of the inductively heatable susceptor (54) is accommodated in the airflow channel (62).

An aerosol-generating device for generating an aerosol by inductive heating of an aerosol-forming substrate is provided, the device including: a device housing including a cavity to removably receive the substrate; an inductive heating arrangement including an induction coil to generate a varying magnetic field within the cavity and being arranged around at least a portion of the cavity; and a flux concentrator arranged around at least a portion of the coil and being configured to distort the field of the arrangement towards the cavity, the flux concentrator including a multi-layer flux concentrator foil having a magnetic layer laminated with at least a first support layer, the magnetic layer including a plurality of separated fragments of a soft magnetic alloy and being arranged in a pattern including a plurality of crack centers, and a plurality of cracks spread radially outwards from each crack center in a web-shaped pattern.
