Methods of protecting furnace electrodes with cooling liquid that contains an additive
A method for forming a protective antioxidative barrier on the furnace electrodes using a chemically altered cooling liquid containing an antioxidant additive. This method can be applied to electrodes used in electric arc furnaces and ladle metallurgy furnaces. The method can involve spraying the cooling liquid onto the electrode, thereby forming the protective antioxidative barrier and reducing the oxidation of the electrode.

Electrode seal for use in a metallurgical furnace
An electrode seal for use in a metallurgical furnace, the furnace comprising a furnace space heated by electrodes extending through an aperture into the furnace space. The electrode seal comprises at least three sets of shoes in consecutive lateral contact, each shoe having a biasing member for biasing a surface of the shoe toward one of the electrodes thereby allowing the one electrode to longitudinally move within the electrode seal while providing electrical insulation between the electrode and the aperture.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AN ELECTRODE SEAL ASSEMBLY
A sealing system for isolating the environment inside a vitrification container from the outside environment comprises a vitrification container with a lid. The lid comprises two or more electrode seal assemblies through which two or more electrodes may be operatively positioned and extend down through the lid into the vitrification container. The electrodes may move axially up and down through the electrode seal assemblies or lock into place. The electrode seal assemblies each comprise a housing having two halves with recessed ring grooves. Sealing rings with a split may be placed into the grooves. Gas galleries may be machined or cast into the housing such that they are adjacent to the ring grooves. The gas galleries distribute gas onto the external faces of the sealing rings causing a change in pressure resulting in the sealing rings compressing onto the electrodes and forming a seal.
Glass-melting electrode with cooling device and cooling device for a glass-melting electrode
A glass-melting electrode has a cooling device. The glass-melting electrode has an electrode body with a blind hole, and the cooling device has a cooling tube which can be inserted into the blind hole in order to feed coolant into the blind hole. The cooling device has a flow distributor with at least three outlet openings. The flow distributor is arranged at an end of the cooling tube which has been inserted into the blind hole, such that coolant flows through the flow distributor into the blind hole.

SLEEVE SEAL FOR ELECTRIC FURNACE ELECTRODES
A highly flexible sealing arrangement designed to seal high-temperature furnace ports, particularly the electrode port of an electric furnace. The seal comprises an annular support member fixed to a flexible sealing member and employs the use of a garter spring to uniformly apply the desired amount of seal compression. The arrangement and flexibility of the sealing member allows the seal to adapt itself to the wide range of operating and upset conditions that typically exist for a furnace electrode seal. Frictional wear on the seal may be greatly reduced as the design inherently allows for a much lower amount of seal compression to be applied, furthermore, the seal is able to move axially which can significantly reduce wear caused by electrode regulation.
Power Transmission Vehicle Device
The present application provides a power transmission vehicle device, including a vehicle body, an electrode clamping mechanism and an aluminum row clamping mechanism, wherein the electrode clamping mechanism and the aluminum row clamping mechanism are both provided on the vehicle body, the aluminum row clamping mechanism is used for clamping a power transmission aluminum row, and the aluminum row clamping mechanism is connected to the electrode clamping mechanism via a connecting cable; the electrode clamping mechanism comprises a strut and an electrode clamping assembly arranged on the strut. According to the present application, when an electrode clamping assembly clamps a conductive electrode, a corresponding operation can be performed according to a deformation change of the conductive electrode, thereby satisfying the effect of a stable clamping of the conductive electrode by an electrode clamping mechanism.
