An automatic sensing system includes at least one LED lamp, and at least one sensing control device. Each of at least one LED lamp includes at least three operation modes. The three operation modes includes a closing mode, a low light mode, and a fill light mode. The sensing control device includes an illumination detecting module, a pyroelectric sensing module, a signal processing module, and a lamp control module. The signal processing module is configured for processing the signal data output from the pyroelectric sensing module based on the signal data detected by the illumination detecting module and outputting a control signal. The lamp control module is configured for controlling all of the LED lamps to work in one of the three operation modes so as to make any one of the at least one sensing control device to control all of the LED lamps to work. The invention further includes an automatic sensing control method for LED lighting.

A best approximation of the target light spectrum is then determined, taking into account the weight assigned to each characteristic. In another example, the target light spectrum is provided to the luminaire by the user through the specification of various characteristics of the target light spectrum.

Preferably, the capturing means includes at least two sensors with fixed focal length or, alternatively, a single sensor may be combined with a single controllable focal system electrically.

Method and system for illumination management

A luminaire can comprise a system that automatically adjusts light output from the luminaire to control light level in an illuminated area. The system can increase light output if the light level in the area falls below a target light level or decrease light output if the light level in the area rises above the target. For example, when the area is illuminated by a combination of sunlight and luminaire light, the light level can be maintained at the target level by gradually decreasing light output as the sunlight contribution increases in the morning and by gradually increasing light output as the sunlight contribution decreases in the evening. The system adjustments can take into consideration whether the light level is offset from the target due to a change in the target or a short-term fluctuation that may be due to a cloud temporarily blocking the sun.
