Illumination control
A lighting control system and method for controlling a plurality of lighting units wherein an image of a space including the lighting units is obtained, and certain non-lighting objects in the space are identified. The objects can be associated with light settings, and the relative position of lighting units to the objects allows the lighting units to be selectively associated with those light settings also. Linking of lighting units, non-lighting objects, and control settings in this way arranged can be achieved with minimal user input, and provides improved control of lighting in an environment.
LIGHTING SYSTEM WITH AUTOMATIC BEACON CONFIGURATION
The individual configuration of beacons in lighting systems is to be simplified. Therefore, a lighting system with a lighting device and a beacon arranged in or at the lighting device is provided. The lighting system comprises a sensor device for acquiring an environmental parameter relating to an environment of the lighting system. Moreover, the beacon is formed to automatically configure itself based on the environmental parameter.
Control system
The present invention relates to an improved control system for use in applications requiring high level of functional integrity at one or more location, for improving efficiency, availability, reliability and safety of operation in various applications by segregating the domains of various functions critical to maintain high level of system operation integrity, remote networking and control, and transporting a proven, monitored function through a medium to another location and using the received proven function information to further prove the function at the receiving location with the functional identification of the receiving location, entire operation being online and/or periodically reciprocated/handshake/monitored.
Light emitting diode activation control
A system and method may include receiving, at a first node of a circuit electrically coupled to a light emitting diode, a pulsed electrical signal that includes signal current pulses. The system and method may also include enabling discharging of a capacitor electrically coupled to the first node at an enable time that is during a particular time period between two particular signal current pulses of the pulsed electrical signal.
GASEOUS-PHASE IONIZING RADIATION GENERATOR
A gaseous-phase ionizing; radiation generator for the voltage controlled production, flux, and use of one or more forms of ionizing electrornagnetic and/or particulate radiation including: embodiments to collect and convert the particulate radiation that is generated by the radiation generator into electricity; embodiments that generate electricity from the ionized gas within the radiation generator by means of an auxiliary electrode structure composed of interdigitated individual electrodes of alternating work function; and a method or procedure for the fabrication and the activation of at least one working electrode composed in part of a metal hydride host material that is not formally considered to be radioactive.

LED tube lamp for operating in different modes
A light emitting diode (LED) tube lamp configured to receive an external driving signal includes an LED module for emitting light, the LED module comprising an LED unit comprising an LED; a rectifying circuit for rectifying the external driving signal to produce a rectified signal, the rectifying circuit having a first output terminal and a second output terminal for outputting the rectified signal; a filtering circuit connected to the LED module, and configured to provide a filtered signal for the LED unit; and a protection circuit for providing protection for the LED tube lamp. The protection circuit includes a voltage divider comprising two elements connected in series between the first and second output terminals of the rectifying circuit, for producing a signal at a connection node between the two elements; and a control circuit coupled to the connection node between the two elements, for receiving, and detecting a state of, the signal at the connection node. The control circuit includes or is coupled to a switching circuit coupled to the rectifying circuit, and the switching circuit is configured to be triggered on or off by the detected state, upon the external driving signal being input to the LED tube lamp, to allow discontinuous current to flow through the LED unit.
Environment optimization for space based on presence and activities
A method for facilitating space experiences for at least a first space user and for at least first and second different spaces, the method comprising the steps of storing first and second space experience specifications for the first and second different spaces, respectively, wherein the first and second space experience specifications indicate space affordance settings for the first and second spaces, respectively, sensing a trigger event associated with at least one of the first and second different spaces, where the sensed trigger event is associated with the first space, using the first space experience specification to control the first space affordances and where the sensed trigger event is associated with the second space, using the second space experience specification to control the second space affordances.
