MODULATION SYSTEM AND MODULATION METHOD
A system with which any abnormality can be easily found is provided. A system includes: a first modulator that generates a control signal and modulates an input signal in accordance with the generated control signal, to control luminance of a first light source that emits light according to the modulated input signal, the first modulator outputting the control signal; a second modulator that acquires the control signal output from the first modulator and modulates an input signal in accordance with the control signal, to control luminance of a second light source that emits light according to the modulated input signal, the second modulator outputting the control signal. The first modulator generates, as a light ID signal, a control signal for transmitting a visible light signal by luminance variations of the first light source, and acquires a light information signal being the control signal output from the second modulator.
Lamp having a safety circuit, and a safety circuit for use in such lamps
A lamp has a safety circuit connected to first and second electrical connection terminals. A test is used to detect if the first and second electrical connection terminals are both connected to external power without an interfering impedance such a human body, and only then enable operation of the lamp. A time for the test is different from a time when another lamp in the system applies a test.

Illumination device and method for calibrating an illumination device over changes in temperature, drive current, and time
An illumination device and method is provided herein for calibrating individual LEDs in the illumination device, so as to obtain a desired luminous flux and a desired chromaticity of the device over changes in drive current, temperature, and over time as the LEDs age. The calibration method may include subjecting the illumination device to a first ambient temperature, successively applying at least three different drive currents to a first LED to produce illumination at three or more different levels of brightness, obtaining a plurality of optical measurements from the illumination produced by the first LED at each of the at least three different drive currents, obtaining a plurality of electrical measurements from the photodetector and storing results of the obtaining steps within the illumination device to calibrate the first LED at the first ambient temperature. The plurality of optical measurements may generally include luminous flux and chromaticity, the plurality of electrical measurements may generally include induced photocurrents and forward voltages, and the calibration method steps may be repeated for each LED included within the illumination device and upon subjecting the illumination device to a second ambient temperature.
Device and method for automatic billing of power consumption through street poles
The present invention provides a system and method for automatic billing, managing, scheduling and power consumption controlling of charging process of electronic vehicle. The system is comprised of: street light poles which include: an electronic node, unique communication adapter and electronic socket for vehicles charging, a feeder pillar in the street comprising a concentrator for controlling and scheduling the power consumption of each street light pole in relation to charging process and a operation control center (OCC) for controlling and billing the power consumption of each street pole.
Backlight unit
A backlight unit includes: a light source configured to emit light based on a driving current; and a backlight controller receiving a digital dimming signal that defines a length of an output period of the driving current from a pulse width modulator and configured to, when a duty ratio of the driving current is less than a reference duty ratio, modulates the duty ratio of the driving current so that the duty ratio of the driving current is equal to or greater than the reference duty ratio and decrease a duty ratio of the digital dimming signal.
Panel light apparatus with movable concealing plate
The back plate has four lateral walls and a bottom plate. A back side of the bottom plate includes multiple sets of folding hooks. Each set corresponds a different installation platform. One of the multiple sets of folding hooks is folded to be used for hooking to a corresponding installation platform. The light source module has multiple LED modules disposed on the bottom plate. Each LED module has a LED device and a lens. The lens diffuses a light of the LED device to be evenly emitted from the lens and broadening an output angle of the light via the lens. The diffusion plate with a peripheral edge is fixed to the four lateral walls of the back plate. The driver cover is attached to an external side of one of the four walls of the back plate. The driver cover defines a container cavity for concealing the driver module.

Data acquisition methods and apparatus for a network connected LED driver
A lighting system including monitoring of input power and output power parameters to a set of lighting loads to detect power faults and/or anomalies. The set of sensing circuits include primary side and secondary side sensing circuits that communicate with a set of monitoring circuits to process the information supplied by the sensing circuits. If a fault and/or anomaly is sensed or detected, a signal is transmitted to provide an alert.
