Thin Film Heater

A thin film heater includes a flexible heating element and a flexible electrically insulating backing film supporting the heating element; wherein the backing film includes one or both of a fluoropolymer or Polyetheretherketone. By using a fluoropolymer or Polyetheretherketone, improved dielectric and mechanical properties are provided, which are particularly suited to application in an aerosol generating device. A method of fabricating a thin film heater is also provided.

Heatable leading-edge apparatus, leading-edge heating system and aircraft comprising them

A heatable leading-edge apparatus for an aircraft having a main structure and a heating layer. The heating layer comprises a fiber composite layer with fibers and with a matrix which surrounds the fibers. The fibers are at least partially formed as conducting fibers, such as carbon fibers, with an electrically insulating coating. Owing to the conducting fibers, which act as electrical heating elements, a desired surface temperature can be established on an outer side of the leading-edge apparatus.

CERAMIC HEATER, METHOD OF DRIVING CERAMIC HEATER, AND GAS SENSOR

A ceramic heater is provided in an electronic component, and by supplying electrical current thereto, a heat generating portion thereof is heated to a temperature of greater than or equal to 700[° C.] and less than 950[° C.]. An energizing current waveform of the electrical current to the heat generating portion is a pulse waveform, and a product of a pulse voltage Vp [V] and a period T [ms] of the pulse waveform is less than or equal to 600 [V.Math.ms].

An electric heater includes a substrate and an inner plane heating element formed on one surface of the substrate. The inner plane heating element includes an inner pattern portion connecting a start point with an end point. The inner pattern portion includes a first track, a second track located outside the first track and spaced part from the first track, a first bridge connecting the first track with one end of the second track, a third track located outside the second track and spaced apart from the second track, and a second bridge connecting the other end of the second track with the third track. A first gap G1 between the first and second tracks is shorter than a second gap G2 between the second and third tracks along a virtual line crossing the first, second and third tracks and closer to the first bridge than the second bridge.

CARTRIDGE AND E-VAPING DEVICE

A cartridge of an e-vaping device includes a housing extending in a longitudinal direction, a reservoir in the housing, a heater in the housing, and an absorbent material at least partially surrounding the sinusoidal shaped member. The reservoir is configured to store a pre-vapor formulation. The heater has a sinusoidal shaped member translating about an elliptical shape to define a channel there through. The absorbent material is in fluid communication with the reservoir.

PLASMA ETCHING SYSTEM AND FARADAY SHIELDING APPARATUS WHICH CAN BE USED FOR HEATING

A Faraday shielding apparatus includes a Faraday shielding plate and a heating circuit; the Faraday shielding plate includes a conductive ring and a plurality of conductive petal-shaped members radially symmetrically connected to the outer periphery of the conductive ring; when the heating circuit is used in the etching process, the Faraday shielding plate is heated by electricity. During the etching process, the heating circuit is conductively connected to the Faraday shielding plate, increasing the temperature of the Faraday shielding plate when it is energized, heating a medium window and reducing the amount of product deposits. During the cleaning process, the heating circuit and the Faraday shield are turned off, and the Faraday shielding plate is connected to a shielding power supply to clean the dielectric window. The output terminal of the heating power supply is filtered by way of a filter circuit unit, then connected to the Faraday shielding plate.

An e-vapor device may include a pre-vapor sector and a heater structure arranged in thermal contact with the pre-vapor sector. The pre-vapor sector is configured to hold and dispense a pre-vapor formulation. The heater structure includes a base wire and a shell layer coating the base wire. The base wire is insulated from the shell layer. The shell layer includes at least one recessed portion between a first unrecessed portion and a second unrecessed portion. The at least one recessed portion is a thinner section of the shell layer that is configured to vaporize the pre-vapor formulation to generate a vapor. As a result of the heater design, the heater structure is stiffer and more robust than other related heaters in the art, thus allowing more options for its implementation.
