SILICONE RUBBER HEATER FOR PERITONEAL DIALYSIS
The disclosure relates to a heater made from a layer of silicone rubber or similar material having one or more embedded heating elements and a conductive plate such as an aluminum plate positioned on a side of the layer of silicone rubber. The heater can be used to heat fluids necessary to generate a peritoneal dialysis fluid or heat peritoneal dialysis fluid prior to infusion into a patient. Systems that have one or more of the heaters of the invention to generate the peritoneal dialysis fluid and to heat the generated peritoneal dialysis fluid are provided.
Far-infrared ray radiation sheet, method of manufacturing far-infrared ray radiation sheet, and method of radiating far-infrared rays

Provided is a far-infrared ray radiation sheet 1 according to the present invention that is formed in a planar shape, that radiates far-infrared rays, the far-infrared ray radiation sheet comprising a heat generation type mixed paper 10 comprising a basic material, carbon fiber exhibiting high heat conductivity, first graphite exhibiting high heat conductivity, second graphite that forms a conductive network, and mixed paper formed by mixing the basic material, the carbon fiber, the first graphite and the second graphite; electrodes 21 provided to the heat generation type mixed paper 10; and prepregs 11 laminated on the heat generation type mixed paper 10, wherein the far-infrared rays are radiated by applying current to the electrodes 21.
TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED SEAT SYSTEM
A seat system for a vehicle including a seat base assembly, a seat back assembly coupled to the seat base assembly, and a temperature-control system disposed in at least one of the seat base assembly and the seat back assembly. The temperature-control system is deactivated when the seat system is unoccupied and activated when the seat system is occupied. The temperature-control system includes a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer disposed adjacent the first conductive layer, and a plurality of thermal energy elements disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer.
Multilayer structure with carbon nanotube heaters
Disclosed is a multilayer structure, comprising: a first heater layer comprising a CNT heater, wherein the CNT heater comprises a composite of carbon nanotubes and silicone; and a second heater layer comprising a PTC heater, wherein the PTC heater comprises a composite of carbon black and polymer; wherein the first heater layer and the second heater layer are first and second respectively in an electrical series; wherein the first heater layer has a negative temperature coefficient with respect to electrical resistivity; and wherein the second heater layer has a positive temperature coefficient with respect to electrical resistivity. Also disclosed is an aircraft component comprising the multilayer structure.
Layered heater system having conductive overlays
A layered heater includes a resistive layer formed from a conductive material and separated into an intermediate area and a resistive circuit pattern by a plurality of cuts that extend all the way through the resistive layer. The resistive circuit pattern includes termination pads electrically connected to the resistive circuit pattern with the intermediate area being electrically inactive. A conductive overlay is disposed over a continuous portion of the resistive circuit pattern. The plurality of cuts extend longitudinally into the conductive overlay such that no portion of the resistive pattern is present outside the conductive overlay.
Surface heating assembly and related methods
A method of forming a plurality of individual heating cables sets includes creating at least a portion of a master cable set by coupling alternating sections of cold and hot cable section, each section of cold cable section having a length twice a model cold cable section length and each section of hot cable section having a length twice a model hot cable section length. A continuous metallic ground sheath is applied about substantially all of the master cable set and a continuous outer jacket is applied about the continuous metallic ground sheath. The master cable set is segmented at defined locations to create a plurality of individual heating cable sets having an overall length of the model hot cable section length plus the model cold cable section length.
Aluminum nitride heater
A heater includes an aluminum nitride base having equal to or less than 1% impurities, particularly one embodiment having none of polybrominated biphenyl, polybrominated diphenyl ether, hexabromocyclododecane, polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated paraffin, phthalate, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead, and mercury. At least one resistive trace of silver and palladium overlies the base as does a conductor of silver and platinum or palladium that electrically connects to the resistive trace to apply an external voltage to the resistive trace for heating thereof. At least four, but optionally five, layers of glass overlie the resistive trace and part of the conductor. A first two consecutive layers of the glass layers define a first glass having a solid content of more than 65% and a viscosity of 100 Pa.Math.s or less. The following two or three consecutive layers of the five layers define a second glass dissimilar to the first.
COOKING DEVICE HAVING A MODULAR CERAMIC HEATER
A cooking device according to one example embodiment includes a plurality of modular heaters. Each modular heater includes a ceramic substrate and an electrically resistive trace positioned on the ceramic substrate. Each modular heater is configured to generate heat when an electric current is supplied to the electrically resistive trace. The cooking device includes a thermally conductive heating plate. The plurality of modular heaters are positioned against a bottom surface of the heating plate. The heating plate includes a top surface positioned to transfer heat provided by the plurality of modular heaters to a cooking vessel for cooking an item held by the cooking vessel.
MAKING AN ALUMINUM NITRIDE HEATER
A method of making a heater includes an aluminum nitride base having equal to or less than 1% impurities, particularly one embodiment having none of polybrominated biphenyl, polybrominated diphenyl ether, hexabromocyclododecane, polyvinyl chloride, chlorinated paraffin, phthalate, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead, and mercury. The base is fired in a heating unit before any layering. Thereafter, on a topside and backside of the base a conductor layer is layered and allowed to settle and dry before firing. Next, a resistive layer is layered on the base from a resistor paste such that the resistive layer connects to the conductor layer on the topside. The resistor paste is allowed to settle and dry and then the base with the conductor and resistor layers is fired. At least four layers of glass are layered next over the resistive layer, each instance thereof including layering a glass, drying the glass and firing.

The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices. The aerosol delivery devices may include a reservoir containing a liquid aerosol precursor composition and an atomizer including an electrical resistance heating element and a nonfibrous liquid transport element having a microtextured surface adapted for surface wicking of the liquid aerosol precursor composition across the microtextured surface, the microtextured surface of the liquid transport element being in fluid communication with the reservoir and in fluid communication with the electric resistance heating element.
