High intensity radio frequency heating of packaged articles
Heating systems utilizing radio frequency (RF) energy and methods for using the same to rapidly and uniformly heat packaged articles moving through the system on one or more convey lines. These systems may be useful for a variety of processes, including the pasteurization or sterilization of packaged foodstuffs.
Systems and method for decontaminating a tube
A method for decontaminating a tube includes positioning an antenna at least partially within the tube. The tube is positioned at least partially within a living body. The method also includes decontaminating the tube by causing the antenna to emit electromagnetic waves having a frequency from about 10 GHz to about 100 GHz for a time duration that is less than or equal to 60 seconds. The electromagnetic waves cause a temperature of the living body proximate to the tube to increase from about 0.1 C. to about 3 C. so as to not substantially damage the living body.

Microwave Processing Equipment for Continuous Flow Liquids
The disclosure discloses a microwave processing equipment for continuous flow liquids, and belongs to the technical field of microwave processing. The microwave processing equipment for continuous flow liquids of the disclosure includes a feed preheating section, a microwave heating section and a cooling section. The microwave heating section includes a microwave generation system, a waveguide system, tuners, and a microwave absorption cavity. The waveguide system includes at least two waveguides. Each waveguide is installed at the microwave feed port formed in the outer wall of the microwave absorption cavity according to a predetermined angle. The predetermined angle is greater than or equal to 15 and less than 90. The disclosure provides a specific implementation scheme for microwave processing of flow liquids. In consideration of the reflection action of microwaves, the safety of equipment operation process and the utilization rate of energy are improved by a special waveguide arrangement mode. It can meet the heating requirement of liquid material and a feasible scheme is provided for the application of microwave processing to flow liquids.
Personal microwave autoclave and process using the same for sterilizing N95 masks
An autoclave including a Faraday cage, which when placed in a microwave oven sterilizes N95 masks or any other metal surgical devices through pressurized steam. The Faraday cage prevents metal inside the cage from arching when inside the microwave oven. Pressure build up occurs inside a container, which includes an umbrella valve. The container encloses the Faraday cage, which is adjustable to fit many sized objects.
Convey line carrier for microwave heating
Carriers suitable for transporting a plurality of articles through a microwave heating zone are provided. Carriers as described herein may include an outer frame and upper and lower support structures vertically spaced from one another to provide a cargo volume into which the articles are loaded. At least a portion of the upper and/or lower support structures may be formed of an electrically conductive material. Additionally, the carrier may include removable article spacing members, such as vertical spacing members and dividers, that can be selectively inserted to adjust the size and/or shape of the cargo volume. Carriers as described herein may be configured to receive a variety of different articles, including trays and pouches, and the articles may be loaded into the carrier in a nested or overlapping manner.
DATA COLLECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RADIO FREQUENCY HEATING SYSTEM
A datalogger with a temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of one or more articles during a radio frequency (RF) heating process. The datalogger may be wireless and may store temperature measurements in an internal memory and/or may wirelessly transmit temperature data in real-time. The datalogger may be specifically designed and oriented to maximize temperature measurement accuracy and minimize interference with the RF heating process.
APPLICATOR SYSTEM FOR HEATING WITH RADIO FREQUENCY ENERGY
A radio frequency (RF) heating system for rapidly and uniformly heat packaged articles moving through the system on one or more convey lines. The RF heating system may utilize an RF heating chamber with a substantially round cross-sectional shape to heat the articles. The RF heating system may be useful for a variety of processes, including the pasteurization or sterilization of packaged ingestible items, such as foodstuffs, beverages, and medical or pharmaceutical fluids.
