Apparatus and method for the processing (drying and/or cooking) of foodstuffs and other materials using dual frequency, microwave radiation utilising solid-state power generators. The apparatus uses both an antenna and a waveguide for transmitting microwave radiation to a processing chamber. A first microwave generator generates microwave radiation having a first frequency, wherein the first frequency is substantially between 2.4 and 2.5 GHz and a second microwave generator generates microwave radiation at a second frequency, wherein the second frequency is substantially between 400-500 MHz. A microwave waveguide disposed in or at the chamber is configured to emit the microwave radiation from the first microwave generator into the chamber and an antenna disposed in or at the chamber is configured to emit the microwave radiation from the second microwave generator into the chamber.
Drying device for recycling adsorbent by using microwaves
The present invention relates to a drying apparatus capable of regenerating an adsorbent used for drying using microwaves. The drying apparatus of the present invention is formed to include a microwave irradiation means configured to irradiate microwaves to the adsorbent in a plurality of reaction towers in which the adsorbent adsorbing moisture or carbon dioxide is embedded, and when regenerating the adsorbent, directly heats the adsorbent using microwaves, thereby shortening a heating time and securing a sufficient cooling time, resulting in the effect of reducing the amount of dry air consumed for cooling and further increasing the drying efficiency.
MULTI-MODE MICROWAVE ROLL-TO-ROLL NUT DRYING SYSTEM
A multi-mode microwave roll-to-roll nut drying system including an open drying chamber, a roll-to-roll device, a multi-mode microwave device and a hot air circulation device is provided. The open drying chamber includes an inlet, an outlet and a drying zone between the inlet and the outlet. The roll-to-roll device includes a conveyor belt, wherein the conveyor belt is configured to be conveyed through the inlet, the drying zone, and the outlet of the open drying chamber, and the conveyor belt is made of a non-microwave absorbing material. The multi-mode microwave device is installed above the open drying chamber to emit microwaves into the drying zone. The multi-modal microwave device includes microwave input ports, and any two adjacent ones of the microwave input ports are orthogonally arranged.
Electromagnetic wave heating device
In order that it may be possible to form a strong-electric-field region at a level at which a electromagnetic waves are easily absorbed by an object to be heated 20 with low power in an electromagnetic-wave heating device 10 for heating the object to be heated 20 utilizing an electromagnetic waves, the electromagnetic-wave heating device 10 comprises: an oscillator 21 for outputting an electromagnetic waves; and a radiation antenna 22 being a conductor that radiates the electromagnetic waves outputted from the oscillator 21 and having a resonance structure in which resonance occurs in the conductor by the electromagnetic waves in a frequency band transmitted from the oscillator 21, and is configured that a strong-electric-field region for heating the object to be heated is formed along the radiation antenna 22 by the electromagnetic waves supplied from the oscillator 21 to the radiation antenna 22.
