The first and second x-ray tubes are arranged such that the first and second x-ray beams are incident on, and intersect within, the object at respective first and second oblique angles to define a target volume such that a dose rate is substantially uniform as prescribed within said target volume.
X-RAY SOURCE DEVICE COMPRISING AN ANODE FOR GENERATING X-RAYS
An X-ray source device includes an anode to generate X-rays; a drive to rotate the anode about an anode central axis, the drive including a stator and a first rotor, and the first rotor being rotationally fixed relative to the anode; and a cooling facility to cool at least one of the anode and the drive using a coolant. The drive includes a second rotor to circulate the coolant.
X-ray inspection device
An X-ray inspection device is configured to prevent water from flowing into areas of the X-ray inspection device during a washing operation. The X-ray inspection device is provided with an X-ray emitter, a cooler, a cooler cover, and an opening/closing member. The cooler cools the X-ray emitter. The cooler cover covers the cooler. Openings are formed in the cooler cover and, when open, provide interior-exterior air flow communication when the cooler is cooling the X-ray inspection device. An opening/closing member is configured for movement between an open orientation opening the opening and a closed orientation closing the openings formed in the cooler cover.
