ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

An electrical system includes a movable component configured for selective connection with and selective removal from a mounting surface. The movable component may include a first electronic control unit (ECU), and an electromechanical interface configured for selectively locking the movable component with said mounting surface. The electrical system may include a second ECU configured to communicate with the first ECU, and/or a third ECU configured to detect a potential dynamic event via one or more sensors. The third ECU may be configured to provide dynamic event information to the second ECU. The second ECU may be configured to provide disable information corresponding to the dynamic event information to the movable component. The first ECU may be configured to lock the movable component with the mounting surface according to the disable information.

There is disclosed a motor vehicle electronic control unit casing. The casing includes a housing (1) for electronic components, and a cover (15). The housing and cover (15) are inter-engageable. The housing (1) has a base (2), and an upstanding peripheral side wall (3) defining a peripheral edge (4) in spaced relation to the base (2) and which extends around an access opening of the housing. The cover (15) has a closure part (16) and is configured to close the access opening via engagement between the closure part (16) and the housing (1) around the peripheral edge (4). The cover (15) also has a mounting portion configured to be mounted to a mounting surface (27) in a motor vehicle. The mounting portion depends from the closure part (16) so as to extend substantially alongside the peripheral sidewall of the housing (1) when the housing and the cover (15) are inter-engaged to close the access opening, the mounting portion thereby being configured to secure the housing relative to the mounting surface (27) such that the peripheral edge (4) is spaced from the mounting surface (27).

A control module with manual switches for controlling the ON/OFF status, brightness, and flashing pattern of a high-power variable current electrical device. The control module is intended for use with the interlocking modular frames of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 15949518, but may be used with other switch panels as well. The control module also includes at least one radio transceiver configured to receive communications from a smartphone application for controlling a high-power variable current electrical device attached to the control module. In some embodiments, the smartphone application may provide more control options than are provided by the manual switches on the front of the control module.

DC-DC converters having bullet terminals

Example DC-DC converters include a housing having at least two bullet terminals. The at least two bullet terminals are configured to mate with corresponding terminals in a DC bullet breaker panel. The converter also includes a DC-DC voltage converter circuit coupled between the at least two bullet terminals, and a controller coupled with the DC-DC voltage converter circuit. The controller is configured to control the DC-DC converter circuit to convert a DC input voltage at a first one of the at least two bullet terminals to a different DC output voltage at another one of the at least two bullet terminals. Methods of converting DC voltages using DC-DC converters having bullet terminals are also disclosed.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING AN ELECTRONICS ARRANGEMENT

A system and method for mounting an electronics structure may include attaching a circuit assembly to a first support structure such that the circuit assembly is movable relative to the first support structure. It may also include at least partially covering the circuit assembly with a cover and moving the circuit assembly such that a predetermined portion of the circuit assembly is aligned with a predetermined portion of the cover. It may further include moving the cover such that the cover is attachable to a second support structure, and attaching the cover to the second support structure such that the predetermined portion of the circuit assembly remains aligned with the predetermined portion of the cover.

A supporting member includes a body portion, at least one first fixing portion, and at least one second fixing portion. The first fixing portion is connected to a side of the body portion and bends relative to the body portion. The first fixing portion is configured to be fixed to a first circuit board. The second fixing portion is connected to another side of the body portion and bends relative to the body portion. The second fixing portion is configured to be fixed to a second circuit board.

CONTROL AND POWER MODULE FOR BRUSHLESS MOTOR

An electronic module is provided for a power tool having an electric motor. The module includes a module housing having a radial portion and a cylindrical portion extending from the radial portion away from the electric motor and defining an open end, a printed circuit board (PCB) received within the module housing through the open end thereof, power switches mounted on the PCB, and magnetic sensors mounted on the PCB facing the motor substantially equidistantly from a center of the PCB. The module housing includes openings disposed in the radial portion angularly around a center of the module housing to receive the magnetic sensors therein to allow the magnetic sensors to magnetically interface with the electric motor.

A metallic plate facing the electronic part is provided at part of the housing, and an outer surface of the metallic plate is covered with a second resin film thinner than the metallic plate. An inner surface of the metallic plate is covered with a first resin film thinner than the metallic plate.
