A housing for an electronic device is disclosed. The housing includes housing components and a connector. The connector can be positioned between adjacent edges of two housing components. The connector can rotate from a first position to a second position to form a sealed joint between two adjacent housing components. The sealed joint can prevent moisture and debris from entering the housing of the electronic device.

DIELECTRIC MATERIAL CHANGE TO OPTIMIZE ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF FLEX CIRCUIT

A uniform thickness flex circuit is taught that uses more than one dielectric layer. A first dielectric layer is more flexible and capable of reliably bending at a radius of curvature at which a second dielectric layer cannot be reliably bent. The second dielectric layer has at least one more desirable electrical characteristic than the first dielectric area, for example leakage. Use of the uniform thickness flex circuit to protect sensitive material in an electronic enclosure is also described.

SMART ENERGY METER HOUSING

A meter case used with a utility meter is disclosed. The meter shell includes a plurality of snap fit joints assembled on the meter case arranged to engage a module cover to mount the module cover to the meter shell. The module cover further includes wire housing formed along an inner periphery of the module cover that houses a wire having a first end and a second end therein. A metal shield placed behind the meter shell is electrically coupled to a first connector. A terminal electrically connected to the metal shield is arranged to discharge current to ground. An electrical contact electrically coupled to the second end of the wire is arranged to engage the first connector to establish an electrical connection to the metal shield for the discharge to ground of electrostatic currents sensed by wire.

The disclosure relates to a housing of an electrical device for converting electrical power, including a main body and a cover. The cover closes the main body to define a self-contained interior space, wherein electrical and electronic components of the electrical device are arranged in the interior space of the housing. The cover is connected to the main body via a detchable securing structure, which may be arranged in the geometrical center of the cover. An electrical device has a housing of this type.

Tamper sensor assembly

A tamper sensor assembly that includes a substrate with a protective bulk section including tamper circuitry and a hardware section configured to receive hardware circuitry and extending from the protective bulk section; the hardware circuitry electrically connected to the tamper circuitry to alter operation of the hardware circuitry responsive to modification of the tamper circuitry. The substrate additionally includes an attachment section extending from the hardware section. The tamper sensor assembly also includes a first fold in the substrate to position a first portion of the hardware section to extend along the protective bulk section, and a second fold in the substrate to position a second portion of the hardware section to extend along the first portion of the hardware section.

Systems and methods for authorizing or preventing access to a traffic controller cabinet are described. A first input may be received at a traffic controller cabinet. The first input may be indicative of an identity of an individual attempting to access the traffic controller cabinet. If the individual is determined not to be authorized to access the traffic controller cabinet, a blocking mechanism may be activated to prevent the individual from making any modification to one or more components of the traffic controller cabinet such as a software component.
