ELECTRONICS DEVICE HAVING A PLASTIC COVER WITH A SEALED CENTER BOSS

An electronics device includes a housing having a through-hole disposed in a central portion of the housing. A printed circuit board is connected to the housing. The printed circuit board includes one or more electronic components disposed thereon. A plastic housing cover is connected to the housing and covers the printed circuit board. The housing cover includes a centrally-located post member integral to the housing. The post member extends through the through-hole of the housing and engages with the housing. The engagement between the housing and the housing cover prevents outward deflection of the housing cover.

Electrically Isolated Heat Dissipating Junction Box

A junction box used for making electrical connections to a photovoltaic panel. The junction box has two chambers including a first chamber and a second chamber and a wall common to and separating both chambers. The wall may be adapted to have an electrical connection therethrough. The two lids are adapted to seal respectively the two chambers. The two lids are on opposite sides of the junction box relative to the photovoltaic panel. The two lids may be attachable using different sealing processes to a different level of hermeticity. The first chamber may be adapted to receive a circuit board for electrical power conversion. The junction box may include supports for mounting a printed circuit board in the first chamber. The second chamber is configured for electrical connection to the photovoltaic panel. A metal heat sink may be bonded inside the first chamber.

ELECTRICAL COMPONENT ENCLOSURE WITH INJECTED SEAL AND METHOD

An enclosure and method for an electrical component having a base portion and a cover portion. The base portion has a first channel which extends about at least a portion of a periphery of the base portion. The cover portion has a second channel which extends about at least a portion of a periphery of the cover portion. The second channel is aligned with the first channel to form a sealant receiving channel. A sealant is provided in the sealant receiving channel. The cover portion has at least one inlet opening configured to receive the sealant as the sealant is injected into the sealant receiving channel. The cover portion has at least one outlet opening configured to allow excess sealant of the sealant to escape from the sealant receiving channel as the sealant is injected into the sealant receiving channel.

Vehicle-mounted control device

Provided is an in-vehicle control device which is able to protect a seal material even when being interposed by a fixing member which is fixed to a vehicle while suppressing the protruding of the seal material toward an inner space. The in-vehicle control device includes a first housing (20), a second housing (30) which is fixed to face the first housing (20), and a seal material (40) which seals the inner space which is disposed between a flange of the first housing (20) and a flange of the second housing (30) and is formed by the first housing (20) and the second housing (30). The first housing (20) includes a shape (22) (bank-shaped portion) which is disposed on a side near an inner space (11) from the seal material (40), faces the flange of the second housing (30), and suppresses the moving of the seal material (40) toward the inner space (11).

Hermetic Fastener-Less Enclosures and Methods of Sealing the Same
20210127519 · 2021-04-29 ·

Hermetically sealed, hygienic electrical enclosures that do not require mechanical fasteners and methods of making the same. In some examples, an open housing is sealed with a cover using a seal that includes an arrangement of a gasket and a sealant. Once cured, the seal provides a hermetic seal between the housing and cover, providing a crevice-free device enclosure.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH A LIQUID-ACTIVATED SEAL

An electronic device with a sealing layer is disclosed. The sealing layer may include several enhancements designed to improve the overall sealing performance. For instance, the sealing layer may include an adhesive material and several particles embedded in the adhesive material. The embedded particles may include liquid-activated particles that respond to liquid exposure. In some instances, the liquid-activated particles absorb the liquid. Additionally, the liquid-activated particles may expand and fill/cover areas previously occupied by the sealing layer or another structure of the electronic device. Further, the liquid-activated particles may adhere to one or more structures of the electronic device, thereby providing the sealing layer with sealing properties. As a result of the absorption/expansion/adhesion properties of the liquid-activated particles, the electronic device may maintain a specified ingress protection rating even subsequent to some form of breakdown of the sealing layer or damage to the electronic device.

Electronic control device and assembly method thereof

Provided is an electronic control device that can reduce a usage amount of an adhesive constituting a seal member, by relieving a stress caused in the seal member disposed in a gap between a first housing part and a second housing part in a high-temperature environment. In an electronic control device including: a component mounting board mounted with an electronic component; and a first housing part and a second housing part that are fixed to each other via a seal member and define a first space that accommodates the component mounting board, at least one predetermined housing part of the first or second housing part has a recess formed on a surface facing the seal member, and a second space is formed between the recess and the seal member.
