The invention relates to a modular assembly that comprises at least two housing parts (1), in which in each case a circuit board (L) is received, at least one internal connecting means (17), one cover element and one closing element. Each housing part (1) is formed from a base plate (3), a rear wall (5) and side walls (4) that are connected to said rear wall. The housing parts (1) are stacked in such a manner that the side walls (4) combine to form a first (6) and a second complete side wall (7), and that the rear walls (5) combine to form a complete rear wall (8). At least two of the housing parts (1) are stacked in such a manner that the base plate (3) of the one housing part (1) is connected to the side walls (4) of the other housing part (1). The at least one internal connecting means (17) extends in a direction perpendicular to the base plates (3) and connects multiple circuit boards (L) by way of first connectors (18). The cover element lies on the side walls (4) of precisely one housing part (1). The closing element is attached to a front side on the housing parts (1), said front side lying opposite the complete rear wall (8).

TECHNOLOGIES FOR SWITCHING NETWORK TRAFFIC IN A DATA CENTER

Technologies for switching network traffic include a network switch. The network switch includes one or more processors and communication circuitry coupled to the one or more processors. The communication circuity is capable of switching network traffic of multiple link layer protocols. Additionally, the network switch includes one or more memory devices storing instructions that, when executed, cause the network switch to receive, with the communication circuitry through an optical connection, network traffic to be forwarded, and determine a link layer protocol of the received network traffic. The instructions additionally cause the network switch to forward the network traffic as a function of the determined link layer protocol. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Anti-theft retail merchandise pusher with remote alarm feature

A retail merchandise pusher with a remote alarm feature is provided. The pusher includes a housing and an adaptor. The adaptor is removably coupled to the housing and slidably coupled to a track. The pusher including a shaft rotatable about its axis in a first and second direction and a gear wheel coupled to the shaft. The rotation of the gear wheel causing a first electrical contact to engage with a second electrical contact, such that the distance that the pusher moves along the track can be measured by totaling the number of times the first electrical contact engages with the second electrical contact.

Technologies for dynamically managing resources in disaggregated accelerators

Technologies for dynamically managing resources in disaggregated accelerators include an accelerator. The accelerator includes acceleration circuitry with multiple logic portions, each capable of executing a different workload. Additionally, the accelerator includes communication circuitry to receive a workload to be executed by a logic portion of the accelerator and a dynamic resource allocation logic unit to identify a resource utilization threshold associated with one or more shared resources of the accelerator to be used by a logic portion in the execution of the workload, limit, as a function of the resource utilization threshold, the utilization of the one or more shared resources by the logic portion as the logic portion executes the workload, and subsequently adjust the resource utilization threshold as the workload is executed. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

Technologies for data center multi-zone cabling

Technologies for connecting data cables in a data center are disclosed. In the illustrative embodiment, racks of the data center are grouped into different zones based on the distance from the racks in a given zone to a network switch. All of the racks in a given zone are connected to the network switch using data cables of the same length. In some embodiments, certain physical resources such as storage may be placed in racks that are in zones closer to the network switch and therefore use shorter data cables with lower latency. An orchestrator server may, in some embodiments, schedule workloads or create virtual servers based on the different zones and corresponding latency of different physical resources.
