Low-PIM Channel Runner Assembly and Cable Support Rail System
20200251818 · 2020-08-06 ·

A low-PIM cable support rail assembly includes a metal strut extending in a longitudinal direction positioned within a potential PIM reactive zone of a cellular base station antenna. A channel runner assembly slidably engaged with the strut includes a low-PIM a low-PIM spacer and a low-PIM channel runner block that includes a captured rod anchor, such as a nut or bolt head, engaged with a threaded rod. A compression nut engaged with the threaded rod releasably pinches strut rails between the low-PIM channel runner block and the low-PIM spacer to secure the channel runner assembly at a desired position along the strut. The low-PIM channel runner block and low-PIM spacer prevent metal-to-metal contact when the compression nut is tightened to secure the channel runner assembly to the strut. A cable support block or other component may be spaced apart from the strut along the threaded rod.

Stackable telecommunications equipment power distribution assembly and method

The solution of the present disclosure connects the power in parallel distribution chains. A horizontal pizza box in the middle of the equipment stack represents the power box (PB), which houses the power modules (PMs), such as the power input modules (PIMs) or the power supply units (PSUs). The PMs in the PB are connected to the office power source(s), and the PB supplies power to the parallel distribution chains (A and B). The parallel distribution chains are composed of jumper segments that are based on busbar-like technology, with each jumper segment being the length of the distance between coupled boxes. Any box can be removed without disrupting either distribution chain. Advantageously, the jumper segments are touch-proof, from a safety perspective. Thus, instead of a jumper created using a cable, PCB, etc., or a jumper composed of a custom molded back-to-back connector, the jumpers are based on busbar-like technology.

Mobile device point of presence infrastructure

Mobile devices executing applications utilize data services worldwide. An application executing on these mobile devices may be tested using proxy access devices (PADs) located at various points-of-presence (POPs) at different geolocations. A PAD retainer device is used to maintain a plurality of PADs in a high density arrangement while still permitting adequate cooling, wireless connectivity, and physical connectivity to a proxy host device. In one implementation, the PAD retainer device is configured to maintain a predefined physical configuration of the PADs mounted therein, while hot spots of the PADs are exposed to the ambient atmosphere to facilitate heat dissipation.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAINTAINING COOLING OF MODULAR ELECTRONIC SYSTEM DURING MODULE REMOVAL

In one embodiment, a method includes receiving an indication at a modular electronic system of initiation of online removal for a module removably inserted into a slot of the modular electronic system, increasing a fan speed at the modular electronic system before the module is removed, monitoring an internal temperature at the modular electronic system, and providing an indication that the module is ready for removal upon reaching a specified cooling state at the modular electronic system based on the temperature monitoring. A panel on an adjacent module is opened and extends into the slot upon removal of the module to substantially block airflow bypass from the slot and maintain cooling within the modular electronic system. An apparatus and logic are also disclosed herein.

Forming a cable connection system

A method of forming a cable connection system. A base and a rack are provided, and the base is coupled with the rack, using a coupling mechanism, during a connect mode of operation. The rack includes a first rack surface and a second rack surface perpendicular to the first rack surface, wherein the first rack surface is perpendicular to a raised floor surface, wherein the second rack surface is on, and parallel to, the raised floor surface. The base is coupled to cables connected to the rack, wherein the base includes a first base surface, a second base surface perpendicular to the first base surface, and an array of slots into which corresponding network servers are screwed into place. The coupling mechanism includes a group of base connectors on the first surface of the base and a group of rack connectors on the first surface of the rack.

Electronic rack crown
10694636 · 2020-06-23 ·

An electronics rack crown for facilitating communications between a user of said electronics rack and a remote entity. The rack crown is responsive to door events and data inputs, externally visually signaling fault conditions in electronic modules mounted in the rack, automatically communicating alarms or anomalies via the Internet to the remote entity, providing an interchangeable user brand logo panel, and providing for configuration via an array of configuration DIP switches or by SD card. The electronics rack crown includes a framed video screen, at least one loudspeaker, and a microphone. An electronics compartment houses a PCB board that provides communications, data processing, executive functions, and audio and video signal processing.
