Tape feeder and tape setting method

A second tape feeding mechanism 20B is permitted to idly rotate only in a first rotating direction and has a biasing mechanism 25 which biases a carrier tape 14 against a sprocket 21B so that the carrier tape 14 is brought into engagement with the sprocket 21B. With a preceding tape 14(1) kept in engagement with the sprocket 21B, a leading end portion of a following tape 14 (2) is inserted between the sprocket 21B and the preceding tape 14 (1), and the preceding tape 14 (1) is biased by the biasing means 25 so that the following tape 14(2) is brought into engagement with the sprocket 21B.

Splicing tape management system

A splicing tape management system includes, in executing properly the management of a time limit of a splicing tape, a first storage section configured to store an identification code of a splicing tape for splicing a first carrier tape and a second carrier tape together and a usable time limit of the splicing tape while associating them with each other, and a management section configured to manage the use of the splicing tape based on the identification code and the usable time limit that are stored in the first storage section. The usable time limit is a timing when the use of the splicing tape is to be halted, the timing being determined based on a production time and a usable period after production of the splicing tape or based on a starting time in use and a usable period after starting time of the splicing tape.

Automatic splicing device

A control device, that based on number one and number two component presence signals, respectively calculates number one and number two cutting points of number one and number two tapes from predetermined pitch of number one and number two cavities, and number one and number two distances between number one and number two detection positions and number one and number two cutting positions. By this, cutting points can be specified even when tapes have different pitches between cavities, and the tapes can be spliced reliably.

DEPOSIT DEVICE

A deposit device is configured to temporarily store a carrier tape with through holes on the carrier tape platform. The carrier tape platform is used to pull the carrier tape to external equipment for processing. The deposit device includes a storage bin and a deposit assembly. The storage bin is configured to temporarily store the carrier tape and has an opening. The storage bin is configured to be mounted on the carrier tape platform to make the opening to correspond to the carrier tape. The deposit assembly includes a deposit driver and a deposit member. The deposit member with a plurality of teeth is located in the storage bin. The deposit driver is configured to drive the deposit member to rotate to cause one of the plurality of teeth to be located in one of the through holes, thereby driving the carrier tape to move into the storage bin.

Component mounting device

A component mounting device described herein includes a tape driving section (a driving shaft motor, a front-side sprocket, a timing belt) feeding forward component tapes including components, a tape guide section guiding downward an empty tape that has no component as a result of suctioning with a suction nozzle, a tape cutting section disposed below the tape guide section and cutting the empty tape according to determination that the component tape has no component, and a tape discharge section disposed below the tape cutting section and discharging downward a cut part of the empty tape.

CIRCUIT BOARD TAPE AND JOINING METHOD THEREOF

A circuit board tape includes substrate units each including a sprocket-hole region, a layout region and a joining mark. There are odd and more than three sprocket holes on the sprocket-hole region. An imaginary line extended from the joining mark is extended to between a first layout and a second layout located on the layout region. The amount of the sprocket holes between the imaginary lines of the adjacent substrate units is odd. The circuit board tape is cut along the imaginary lines of the different substrate units so as to remove the defective substrate unit from the circuit board tape and divide the circuit board tape into a front tape and a rear tape. After joining the front and rear tapes, the region where a first layout on the front tape and a second layout on the rear tape are located is defined as a combined layout region.

Electronic component mounting system with cross line communication

A component mounting system has a supply reel accommodating a component, a plurality of mounting lines each having a mounting apparatus and a line management apparatus, and a central network that provides direct communication between the line management apparatuses of each mounting line. A remaining number of components on the supply reel is determined based on cross line communication between the line management apparatuses and comparison of data at different times stored on the line management apparatuses. Such architecture does not require the use of a central server. Rather, the system is a material information exchange system without a single point of failure, where no one computer failure can cause an entire factory shutdown.

COMPONENT SUPPLY DEVICE AND TAPE FEEDER

A component supply device includes a plurality of kinds of tape feeders capable of mounting a first component storing tape by which supplying of components is performed precedingly, and a second component storing tape by which supplying of components is performed succeedingly; a component sensor configured to detect runout of the components in the first component storing tape; and a control unit configured to control a tape feeding operation. A specified discharge length by which the first component storing tape is discharged at the time of occurrence of the runout of the components is preliminarily set for each kind of the tape feeder. The control unit is configured to make the tape feeder perform a tape feeding operation for feeding the first component storing tape by the specified discharge length when the component sensor detects the runout of the components in the first component storing tape.

An electronic component package includes a base tape having an elongated shape and including housing portions, each of which houses an electronic component, and a cover tape covering the base tape. The electronic component package includes first and second seal portions welded to sandwich the housing portions between the first and second seal portions and be parallel or substantially parallel to a longitudinal direction x of the electronic component package. A peeling strength of the first seal portion between the base tape and the cover tape is higher than a peeling strength of the second seal portion between the base tape and the cover tape.
