GAMING SYSTEM
The disclosure herein is directed to a gaming system that comprises a game board, a field position indicator, a line of scrimmage stick, projectiles, and a method of play involving these components. The game board can be configured to hinge at a location that is conducive for storage.
ELECTRONIC DOWN AND DISTANCE MARKER SYSTEM
An electronic down and distance marker system that may comprise a first marker, a second marker connected to a first marker by a physical member having a distance of about ten yards, and a down marker. The present system may include a measurement device for measuring a linear distance between the down marker and the second marker and one or more electronic displays disposed on one of the down marker and the second marker that may display a down and/or the measured linear distance between the down marker and the second marker. A light projector may project one or more of a line of light corresponding to the line to gain, and/or a shape to optically mark the line to gain on the sideline. A remote control, camera and/or an improved wireless measurement and communications capability may also be incorporated into the present system.
Boules-style game and apparatus
Apparatus and rules for playing a boules-style game. The apparatus may include one or more rigid gamepads on which balls can roll, each gamepad having a raised ridge around its periphery defining a base area, and shapes formed in the base area by raised ridges enclosing one or more additional distinct areas. The game may be played in an open area with one or more gamepads placed on the ground. Gameplay includes players rolling the balls onto the gamepad from a distance. Each gamepad may have a post affixed thereto extending vertically from the gamepad. A bonus ball may be balanced atop the post, subject to being dislodged and awarding bonus points. Points are awarded based on a predetermined point value of the base area, and higher predetermined point values of the areas defined by the raised ridges, and the final positions of the balls.
SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUSES FOR DETERMINING THE DISTANCE BETWEEN TWO POSITIONS
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for determining the distance between two positions are disclosed. The system includes a correlator, a first receiver, and a second receiver. The first and second receivers each include: an antenna, a steering mechanism, and a processor. The steering mechanism steers the antenna in an azimuthal direction and an elevation direction. The processor is configured to (i) control the steering mechanism, (ii) receive data recorded by the antenna from a plurality of sources, (iii) time-stamp the data recorded by the antenna, and (iv) control the transmission of the time-stamped data to the correlator. The correlator is configured to receive the time-stamped recorded data from the first receiver and the second receiver, and calculate a distance between the first receiver and the second receiver based thereon.
