CONNECTING ARRANGEMENT
20240155766 · 2024-05-09 ·

A connecting arrangement. The connecting arrangement includes at least a first connecting partner and a second connecting partner, which are connected integrally together using a solidified solder layer, arranged between the connecting partners, with a solder layer thickness. Each connecting partner has a solder connection surface, which are wettable by the solder material in a molten state. The solder connection surfaces are arranged one above the other and face one another so that both are each contacted at least regionally by the solidified solder layer. Each solder connection surface is configured such that a perpendicular projection of both solder connection surfaces onto one another has at least one definable projection area with mutually overlapping solder connection surface parts. The definable projection area has a peripherally closed edge with at least one contained first cohesive projection sub-area, which is directly adjoined by at least one or more further projection sub-areas.

Solder paste misprint cleaning

A processor receives solder paste information, where the solder paste information describes a solder paste used in assembly of a printed circuit board. A processor determines a minimum magnetic force required for removing the solder paste from the printed circuit board based on the solder paste information. A processor receives electromagnet information, where the electromagnet information describes an electromagnet used in cleaning of a misprint of the solder paste on the printed circuit board. A processor determines a minimum amount of power to provide the electromagnet to induce the minimum magnetic force in the electromagnet, where the determination of the amount of power is based on the electromagnet information and the minimum magnetic force. A processor adjusts an amount of power applied to the electromagnet to at least the determined minimum amount of power to clean the misprint of the solder paste from the printed circuit board.

A disclosed method for manufacturing an electronic-component-mounted substrate includes: a step (i) of forming a temporary fixing film (13) in such a manner as to cover a plurality of solder precoats (11) formed on a plurality of lands (10b) on a substrate and an antioxidation film (12) formed in such a manner as to cover the solder precoats; a step (ii) of disposing a plurality of electronic components (30) on the plurality of solder precoats (11) via the antioxidation film (12) and the temporary fixing film (13); and a step (iii) of soldering the plurality of electronic components (30) to the lands (10b) by melting the plurality of solder precoats (11). The antioxidation film (12) contains a first thermoplastic resin. The temporary fixing film (13) contains an activating agent and a second thermoplastic resin. The softening point of the first thermoplastic resin is equal to or lower than the softening point of the second thermoplastic resin.

A method for cleaning an electronic circuit board is disclosed. The electronic circuit board is provided with a substrate layer and a copper layer. A solder mask is applied to the electronic circuit board and a channel is formed in the solder mask. The channel includes an inlet and an outlet. A component is affixed to the electronic circuit board over the channel and cleaning fluid is passed through the channel to remove residual solder flux from between the component and the electronic circuit board.

ACCURATE POSITIONING AND ALIGNMENT OF A COMPONENT DURING PROCESSES SUCH AS REFLOW SOLDERING

One or more channels are provided in the surface of a conductive layer of a PCB substrate in an area on which a component is to be placed. The channels can help reduce or prevent shifting of the component during reflow soldering through surface tension/capillary forces of the solder paste material in the channels. Such channels also can be used, for example, by an image processing system to facilitate accurate positioning and/or alignment of the component. The image processing system can use the location of the channels alone, or in combination with other features such as a solder mask or other alignment marks, to position and/or align the component with high accuracy.
