Athletic Training System
A training system which includes a simulated goalkeeper device that is easily assembled and is free standing from the sport goal. A supporting device for a punching bag includes a hollow tubular pillar; a connector; a flange body; a rubber shock absorber; and a support tray. The connector includes a first end and a second end; the second end is bigger than the first end in diameter; the first end is disposed into the hollow tubular pillar. Unwanted motion, sound, and other undesirable side-effects associated with existing punching bag designs are successfully avoided. Various embodiments accomplish this by isolating a supporting base from the impact of a punch by using a flexible shaft assembly that translates an angular motion of a shaft into a lateral motion.

An octagonal punching bag arrangement can include a body portion, a head portion, and a connecting portion. Each of the body portion and the head portion is designed in the shape of an octagonal prism. The connecting portion is positioned to connect the head portion to the body portion.
