Wearable shield for evaluating accuracy of a fighter's performance
A wearable shield for evaluating accuracy of a fighter's performance. The shield has a target strike cover with a front surface and side surfaces. Target aim points are located on the front and side surfaces of the target strike cover for providing aiming points for a user's strikes. Impact absorbers or cushioning are provided so that the user can repeatedly strike the target strike cover safely. A data collection and processing core is attached to the target strike cover. The data collection and processing core has a processor, a data receiving device, a signal transmission device configured to transmit data from the shield, and/or at least one force plate, accelerometer, gyroscope, location sensor, thermometer, pressure sensor, and/or humidity sensor. A flexible strap connected to the rear surface of the target strike cover permits a trainer to wear the shield during workout, training, and practice sessions.
SPARRING TRAINING TOOL
A body held sparring device configured for either striking or being hit with the addition of a secondary target. The secondary target is offset from the sparring tool and designed to yield when struck, rather than transmit dangerous torque to the body part holding the sparring tool. Additionally, the sparring tool can further incorporate additional sparring tools, additional secondary targets and or additional control body points.
A body held sparring device comprising: a U-shaped structure, at least a first sparring tool, and at least a first target wherein the first sparring tool is configured to be controlled independently of the U-shaped structure and to simulate punches being thrown by an opponent such as jabs and crosses. Wherein the first target is configured to yield when struck to reduce the amount of torque received by the body part through the structure.
Training pad
The present invention provides a training pad for preventing injury to a trainer, in particular a boxing trainer, when presenting the training pad for striking, and further provides a focused location for receiving repeated strikes, comprising a target pad having a target surface and a resiliently deformable region located behind the target surface, and a securing member configured to secure the target pad to a first arm segment adjacent to a second arm segment. The first arm segment is proximal to the second arm segment. The resiliently deformable region is arranged to substantially absorb the energy of a strike received at the target surface, and the target surface is configured to indicate to a user a strike may be made thereon.

Impedance-based impact determination and scoring
A conductive material of a plurality of separate conductive materials are coupled to a first participant, the conductive material configured to move when the first participant delivers an impact to a second participant. An impedance-based impact sensing mechanism including an impedance changing mechanism that changes impedance as the conductive material is moved towards and away from the impedance changing mechanism as the first participant delivers the impact. An impedance-based impact measuring scoring system determines that the impact occurred based on a change in impedance in the impedance changing mechanism.
MODULAR PROTECTOR AND SCORING SYSTEM
A scoring system comprising at least one chest protector comprising at least one sensor and at least one transmitter, at least one receiver, and at least one exterior cover designed to enclose the chest protector.
Personal items network, and associated methods
A system employs data taken from monitor devices and applies that data to video games, arcade games, computer games and the like (collectively a game) to personalize the game to real ability and persons. For example, when a monitor device is used to capture airtime (and e.g., heart rate) of a snowboarder, that data is downloaded to a database for a game and used to limit how a game competitor plays the game. In this way, a snowboard game player can compete against world-class athletes, and others, with some level of realism provided by the real data used in the game.
Combat training device
A combat training device may include an elongated support having a shoulder rest at a rearward end and a punching target at a forward end. The punching target may be attached to a neck support adapted for removable engagement with the forward end of the elongated support. The device may further include a punching assembly having a reciprocating support with a handle at its rearward end and a punching member at its forward end. The reciprocating support may be disposed for longitudinal movement in generally parallel relationship to the elongated support. The reciprocating support may be rotatably disposed within a longitudinal bore that is disposed in generally parallel relationship to the elongated support and reciprocating support. The shoulder rest may be releasably engageable with the rearward end of the elongated support and moveable between adjustable locked positions, such as through the use of a detent mechanism. A punching target holder may be provided for attachment to a punching bag for use in removably attaching a neck support and attached punching target to the punching bag.
