The joint part includes a first joint unit that extends in the second direction and a plurality of second joint units arranged in the first direction, where the first joint unit is interposed between the plurality of second joint units. The second joint units extend in the second direction, and each of the second joint units has recesses between side and top surfaces thereof and that extend in the second direction.

A display device includes a display panel, a refraction index matching layer disposed on the display panel and including a non-adhesive material, a first protective film disposed on the refraction index matching layer, and a supporting unit including a horizontal portion, a side portion vertically bent from the horizontal portion, and a protrusion portion vertically bent from the side portion and disposed on the protective film. Further, the display panel, the refraction index matching layer, and the protective film are seated on the horizontal portion of the supporting unit. Therefore, the folding characteristic is excellent and the protective film may be easily replaced without causing the damage on the display panel if necessary.

A window member including a base substrate and a light shielding layer including a first light shielding pattern disposed in a first area of the base substrate and a second light shielding pattern disposed in a second area of the base substrate while being spaced apart from the first light shielding pattern and providing a signal transmission area at an inner side thereof. The second light shielding pattern includes an edge having a plurality of curved portions on a plane. This arrangement reduces an area of the light shielding pattern adjacent to the signal transmission area of the window member.
Display Apparatus and Method for Manufacturing Display Apparatus
A display apparatus is formed with a hole in which a camera module or various sensor devices is received. The display apparatus includes a display panel, and a porous member, wherein a hole extends through the display panel and the porous member, wherein a portion of the hole extending through the display panel and a portion of the hole extending through the porous member are disposed in the same area in a plan view of the display apparatus. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce or remove the light-leakage phenomenon of the camera module, and increase the stiffness of the area around the hole of the display panel. A first coating is formed on a surface defining the hole such that an electric charge or electric field generated in the hole is discharged through the first coating.
DISPLAY PANEL AND DISPLAY DEVICE
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a display panel and a display device. The display panel includes a substrate, sub-pixels located on a side of the substrate and including light-modulating sub-pixels and non-light-modulating sub-pixels, and light-modulating structures located on sides of the sub-pixels facing away from the substrate. The light-modulating structure includes light-extracting portions and a high refractive index layer. A first distance L1 between the light-extracting portion and the light-modulating sub-pixel closest to the light-extracting portion and a second distance L2 between the light-extracting portion and the non-light-modulating sub-pixel closest to the light-extracting portion satisfy L1<L2. The high refractive index layer is located on sides of the light-extracting portions facing away from the substrate and covers the sub-pixels and the light-extracting portions, and the high refractive index layer has a greater refractive index than that of the light-extracting portion.

According to one aspect of the invention, a flexible pad for a display device lamination process includes: a generally straight area having an upper surface defining substantially the same height along a first direction and a generally convex shape along a second direction generally perpendicular to the first direction; a first inclined area having a first upper surface inclined along the first direction at a first inclination angle and being generally flat along the second direction; and a second inclined area disposed between the first inclined area and the generally straight area, wherein the second inclined area has a second upper surface inclined along the first direction at a second inclination angle smaller than the first inclination angle.
