APPARATUS AND METHODS INVOLVING CONTROL OF PIEZOELECTRIC RESONANCE CIRCUITS
In certain examples, methods and semiconductor structures are directed to operation of a piezoelectric-based device (e.g., a DC-DC converter) and such operation may involve selectively switching inputs of the piezoelectric-based device at a modulation frequency and, in response, decoupling of the modulation frequency from output power delivered by the piezoelectric-based device. In some examples, the inputs of the piezoelectric-based device are selectively switched to cause decoupling the modulation frequency from output power delivered by the piezoelectric-based device and/or cause operation of the piezoelectric-based device without spurious mode operation.
Circuit and method for detecting pressure signal with signal due to pyroelectricity in piezoelectric material being suppressed
The present invention relates to a pressure signal detection circuit and a pressure signal detection method in which a pyroelectric signal from a piezoelectric film is suppressed. More specifically, the pressure signal detection circuit receives input of an input signal from a piezoelectric film, differentiates the input signal for signal component analysis of the input signal, outputs the signal analysis value of the input signal based on the differential value, removes offset of the input signal by using the signal component analysis value, integrates the input signal, and outputs a pressure input signal value from which a heat input signal value is removed.
Actuator device and method for limiting thermal drift
An actuator device has a temperature sensing means and a controller adapted to apply a high frequency AC signal to stimulate internal self-heating to thereby maintain a temperature of an actuator member of the device at a certain fixed temperature, this temperature being elevated with respect to an initial temperature of the actuator member. This ensures that thermal drift may be mitigated or eliminated by compensating for any changes in environmental temperature through raising or lowering the level of the heating signal.
Actuator and light scanning apparatus
An actuator including a beam configured to support an object to be driven, and a drive source to which a drive signal is input, wherein the drive signal includes a drive waveform in a shape of sawtooth waveform, a rising of the drive waveform in the shape of sawtooth waveform includes a first staircase waveform and a second staircase waveform continuing from the first staircase waveform, the first staircase waveform generates oscillation of a ringing suppressing waveform for suppressing a ringing waveform to be generated in the second staircase waveform, and the object to be driven is driven to swing in a direction of rotating around the predetermined axis by driving the drive source.
Control method for piezoelectric driving device, piezoelectric driving device, and robot
There is provided a control method for a piezoelectric driving device including a vibrating body including a piezoelectric element for driving and configured to vibrate when a driving signal is applied to the piezoelectric element for driving, a section to be driven that is driven by the vibration of the vibrating body, and a driving-signal generating section configured to generate the driving signal using a pulse signal generated based on a target pulse duty ratio. When the target pulse duty ratio is smaller than a predetermined value, the driving signal generated by the driving-signal generating section is an intermittently generated periodic signal.
POWER FACTOR IMPROVEMENT AND POWER GENERATION APPARATUS USING PIEZOELECTRIC ELEMENT
A power factor improvement and power generation apparatus using a piezoelectric element may include: a first piezoelectric element having first and second electrodes, and vibrating when voltage is applied from a power line; and a second piezoelectric element having first and second electrodes, and generating electricity in accordance with vibration of the first piezoelectric element. This apparatus is possible to improve a power factor of a power line and generate power using the inherent condenser component, which a piezoelectric element has, instead of a power factor compensation condenser, and it is also possible to generate power.
FORCE SENSING DEVICE AND SENSOR AND PIEZOELECTRIC ELEMENT THEREOF
A force sensing device is mounted on a tool to sense force, particularly quasi-static and static forces. The force sensing device includes at least one a sensor. A piezoelectric element in the sensor includes a driving portion and a sensing portion. A first voltage is input to the driving portion to generate a vibration in the piezoelectric element and a second voltage in response to the vibration is output from the sensing portion. The second voltage output from the sensing portion is changed as the vibration in the piezoelectric element is suppressed by an external force acting on the force sensing device so variation of the second voltage can be used to measure the external force.
Buckling mode actuation of fiber scanner to increase field of view
