A golf training aid comprising a base, a support arm, and an alignment rod or guide, wherein the base is positioned in front of the target golf ball when the golfer is in position behind the target golf ball. The arm is attached to the base and is normal to the direction of the stroke or swing, wherein the alignment rod or guide is held by the support arm directly above the target golf ball as viewed by the golfer. The system may further comprise an adjustable, telescoping, stationary, or detachable pole with a camera mount and/or camera attached to the pole top and may comprise a camera mount under the base.

A method for a golfer to putt a golf ball over the surface of a green toward a hole comprises selecting a target line on the green, assuming a stance next to the ball facing the hole, addressing the ball by gripping the shaft of a putter and positioning it behind the ball with the hands generally facing toward one another in front of and facing the golfer's body, executing a backstroke by drawing the hands toward the body's vertical centerline to swing the arms rearwardly about an axis of rotation through the shoulders to take the putter head away from the ball along a rearward extension of the target line, and transitioning to and executing a forward stroke by moving the hands in a forward direction away from the golfer's body to swing the arms about the axis of rotation to stroke the putter head to strike the ball for rolling it along the target line.

A direction indicating device for a putter according to the present invention corresponds to a direction indicating device for a putter having a putter head, comprising: a base member attached to one side surface of the putter head; and a direction indicating member detachably coupled to the base member wherein at least a part of the direction indicating member extends frontward of the putter head in parallel with the stroke direction of the putter head while being maintained at a level higher than a golf ball. According to the present invention as described above, since a user can visually identify an alignment state of the putter head at the time of putting, the user can easily move the putter head along a target line and thus can improve the accuracy of the putting.

A golf putting practice aid has a plurality of supports and a cross bar that serves as a stroke guide for shot set-up and aiming purposes as well as maintaining putter head height below cross bar and to set the distance of the allowed backswing. The supports can come in various sizes depending on the method of intended practice. The supports are adjustable in position and removable from the cross bar to minimize storage space needed. The cross bar includes an elongated guide bar disposed in parallel alignment with the longitudinal axis of the intended stroke path for guiding pendulum movement of a putter during execution of a putting stroke. The cross bar and one are marked with numbers and marks for indicating back swing stroke range and follow-through stroke range. These marks can be used or the cross bar can be rotated 180 degrees to practice without the stroke length markings as a guide.

A putting aid for use in training the putting technique of a golfer includes a base with a notch for locating a ball. Alignment markers include a longitudinal alignment marker for aiming the ball at a target, e.g. a hole, and a squareness marker perpendicular to the longitudinal marker for indicating the angle of the putter face as the putter strikes the ball. A sight bar located above the base aligns with the longitudinal marker and is used for trainer the golfer to maintain their head directly above the ball. The base may include multiple notches for locating multiple balls to facilitate a training drill using multiple balls simultaneously.

This invention relates to the field of golf putter design. After the golfer has assumed his putting stance, the Eyelignment putter incorporates features that provide a golfer specific visual feedback related to whether the golfer's eyes are correctly aligned with the golf ball, the putter-head, and the intended target-line. This visual feedback is not available in current putter designs. Current putter designs may have design features that help a golfer aim and align a putter's face to the golf ball and along the intended target-line, but current designs provide no visual feedback related to whether the golf ball and putter-head are actually properly aligned, and no feedback related to the alignment of a golfer's eyes. The Eyelignment design provides golfers visual feedback to help golfers consistently achieve the proper alignment of their eyes to the putter-head and the target-line and does so while the golfer is taking his putting stance.

A system for putting stroke improvement includes a plurality of arches, a plurality of rods extending through holes of the plurality of arches to provide structural support to the plurality of arches so that the plurality of arches are stood upright, and a guide wire that extends from a first arch of the plurality of arches to a second arch of the plurality of arches. The plurality of rods includes two rods that pass through an upper portion of the plurality of arches and that are positioned on either side of the guide wire when the guide wire is viewed from above the system.

An alignment device for golf to be used as a practice aid for aligning a dominant eye of a user, a putter and a golf ball with a target line to a hole on a putting green, comprising a base comprising at least one alignment indicia and at least one alignment extension extending from the base, wherein the at least one alignment indicia of the base and the at least one alignment extension are configured to align the dominant eye of the user, the putter and the golf ball with the target line to the hole on the putting green.
