PUTTING TRAINER SYSTEM AND METHODS OF USE
20190217180 · 2019-07-18 ·

A putting trainer system to assist a golfer in repetitive drills to improve the skills necessary to strike a golf ball in a straight manner at the appropriate rise angle to set the speed and drop the ball into the hole on a putting green. The putting trainer system further comprises training equipment to be used in repetitive drills to prevent twisting of the wrists and arms to improve a golfer's putting stroke.

SWING QUALITY MEASUREMENT SYSTEM

A system that measures a swing of a bat with one or more sensors and analyzes sensor data to create swing quality metrics. Metrics may include for example rotational acceleration, on-plane efficiency, and body-bat connection. Rotational acceleration measures the centripetal acceleration of the bat along the bat's longitudinal axis at a point early in the rotational part of the swing; it is an indicator of the swing's power. On-plane efficiency measures how much of the bat's angular velocity occurs around the swing plane, the plane spanned by the bat and the bat's sweet spot velocity at impact. Body-bat connection measures the angle between the bat and the body tilt axis, which is estimated from the trajectory of the hand position on the bat through the swing; an ideal bat-body connection is near 90 degrees. These three swing quality metrics provide a simple and useful characterization of the swing mechanics.

GOLF CLUB HEAD

A golf club head is provided having a club body having a front portion, a rear portion, a toe portion, and a heel portion. The club head also having a central portion connected with the front portion. A frame is connected with the central portion configured to provide a lightweight crown portion being located above an offset plane.

System and method to identify impact locations

A golf club comprising a golf club head having a face wall, an inertial motion unit (IMU) positioned within the body, and a transceiver in communication with the IMU, a shaft attached to the golf club head, and a grip attached to the shaft is disclosed herein. The IMU identifies an impact location with a golf ball.

Golf club alignment devices are described herein. An example golf club alignment device includes an attachment portion and a sighting structure. The attachment portion has a main body and a contact member. The main body is formed of a first material and the contact member is formed of a second material that is different than the first material. The main body has a first retaining arm and a second retaining arm. The contact member extends outwardly from the main body of the attachment portion and is disposed between the first and second retaining arms. The sighting structure extends from the attachment portion.

Sporting equipment alignment device

A sporting equipment alignment device, including a golf club, incorporating a head, shaft; and handle or grip, has an alignment device affixed to the upper end of the club grip. It includes a magnet that is applied to the top of the club, a steel disc that is magnetically held to the magnet, the steel disc connecting with a leveling device, that includes an air bubble, and an upper cap that provides an indicator mark, that can be used to align the golf head for either a straight, fade, or draw shot, when undertaken a drive of the golf ball. Aligning the indicator mark, relative to the air bubble of the level, provides for the selective application of a setting for these types of golf shots. The golf club grip may include a GPS tracking censor, and an accelerometer, for determining the distance to parts of the green, the distance a ball has traveled after a hit, and whether the club head displayed an open face angle, or a closed face angle, that may determine whether a fade or draw occurred during the hit of the golf ball. The sporting equipment may include a golf club, as noted, a tennis racquet, and a baseball bat.

Putter with alignment aid

A putter head comprising a novel alignment structure is disclosed herein. In particular, the putter comprises an alignment sphere attached to an upper surface of a lower flange and an alignment ring suspended over the lower flange and vertically aligned with the alignment sphere. When a golfer has oriented the putter properly in front of a golf ball at address, the alignment sphere will appear to the golfer to be encircled by the alignment ring.

Putter

A putter having a shaft and a putter head connected to the shaft. The putter head has an upper putter head connected to a lower putter head. The upper putter head has an upper putter head top side and an upper putter head bottom side. The lower putter head has a lower putter head top side and a lower putter head bottom side. The putter has striking face formed into the putter head. A transparent object display chamber is sandwiched between the upper putter head and the lower putter head. The transparent object display chamber is enclosed by the upper putter head and the lower putter head. A display object is removably positioned within the display chamber. A transparent positioning window extends through the putter head and includes markings which allow for proper positioning of the golfer and proper positioning of the striking face.

Golf Putter Alignment System
20190118060 · 2019-04-25 ·

A golf putter alignment system for viewing an orientation of a putter face relative to a putting line. A mirrored viewing surface is retained at a viewing angle by a selective, adjustable mounting system with an engaging portion, a pivot joint for angular adjustment, and a sliding joint for lateral position adjustment. The pivot joint can be a sleeve joint with an outer sleeve pivotable about a longitudinal axis relative to a core member. The sliding joint can be formed with the viewing surface slidable in relation to an elongate member, such as by being retained by a housing that is slidable in relation to the elongate member. A scope surface with an alignment scope can be retained in spaced relation to the viewing surface. In embodiments, the viewing surface can be disposed within the putter head, and a block of transparent material can have a face forming the putter face.

Motion analysis method, motion analysis apparatus, and storage device

A motion analysis apparatus includes an impact analysis unit that specifies a hitting direction of an exercise appliance during impact and a speed of the exercise appliance during the impact by using an output signal from an inertial sensor, and a display unit that displays the hitting direction and the speed in a coordinate system in which a hitting target direction is set.
