Peroxide-crosslinkable compositions and processes for their manufacture
A peroxide-crosslinkable composition comprising: (A) A peroxide-crosslinkable polymer, e.g., a polyethylene; (B) A nitrogenous base, e.g., a low molecular weight, or low melting, or liquid nitrogenous base such as triallyl cyanurate (TAC); and (C) One or more antioxidants (AO), e.g., distearylthiodipropionate (DSTDP). The composition is useful in the manufacture of insulation sheaths for high and extra high voltage wire and cable.

MULTILAYER PRINTED WIRING BOARD AND MULTILAYER METAL CLAD LAMINATED BOARD
A multilayer printed wiring board has excellent high-frequency characteristics. The multilayer printed wiring board includes one or more conductive layers and one or more insulating layers. In the multilayer printed wiring board, the one or more conductive layers and the one or more insulating layers are alternately stacked. Each insulating layer of the one or more insulating layers includes one or more of a polyolefin resin layer, a fluororesin layer, a polyphenylene ether resin layer, a polyamideimide resin layer, and a polyimide resin layer. At least one insulating layer of the one or more insulating layers includes a polyolefin resin layer.
COMMUNICATION CABLE AND WIRE HARNESS USING SAME
A communication cable includes an insulation electric wire including a conductor having tensile strength of 400 MPa or more and a cross-sectional area of 0.22 mm.sup.2 or less and a covering layer covering the conductor and being formed of an insulating material, and a sheath covering an outer periphery of the insulation electric wire and being formed of a resin composition containing crystalline polyolefin. A tensile elastic modulus of the sheath is 500 MPa or less, and a mass increase rate of the sheath is less than 50 mass % in a plasticizer migration test involving exposure in an atmosphere at 105? C. for 3,000 hours. Characteristic impedance of the communication cable is 100?10?.

A FFC structure includes transmission line units and a second insulating jacket. The adjacent transmission line units are spaced. Each of the plurality of transmission line units includes one or more signal lines, a first shield layer, a first ground conductor, and a second shield layer. Each of the signal lines includes a signal conductor to transmit a data signal or a power, and a first insulating jacket enclosing the signal conductor. The first shield layer surrounds the signal line and is connected to the first insulating jacket of each of the signal lines. The first ground conductor transmits a ground voltage. The second shield layer surrounds and is connected to the first ground conductor and the first shield layer. The second insulating jacket encloses the second shield layer of the plurality of transmission line units.
Rectangular insulated wire, coil and electrical and electronic device
A rectangular insulated wire includes a rectangular conductor having a generally rectangular cross section and a plurality of baked-coating resin layers disposed to cover the rectangular conductor. Each of the plurality of baked-coating resin layers is formed of at least one resin selected from a group comprising a polyester-based resin including a trihydric or tetrahydric alcohol constituent, a polyester imide resin, a polyamide-imide resin and a polyimide resin. An adhesion strength between the plurality of baked-coating resin layers is greater than or equal to 5 g/mm and less than or equal to 10 g/mm.
ELECTRICAL CABLE HAVING CROSSLINKED INSULATION WITH INTERNAL PULLING LUBRICANT
Electrical power cable having a reduced surface coefficient of friction and required installation pulling force, and the method of manufacture thereof, in which the central conductor core, with or without a separate insulating layer, is surrounded by a sheath of crosslinked polyethylene. A high viscosity, high molecular weight silicone based pulling lubricant or fatty acid amide pulling lubricant is incorporated by alternate methods with the polyethylene to form a composition from which the outer sheath is extruded, and is effective to reduce the required pulling force on the cable during installation.

There is provided a partial discharge-resistant paint that is excellent in the dispersibility of alumina particles, has an industrially suitable viscosity, and can form a coating that is excellent in partial discharge resistance and insulating properties. A partial discharge-resistant paint comprising at least one heat-resistant resin selected from the group consisting of a polyamide resin, a polyimide resin, a polyimide resin precursor, a polyamide-imide resin, a polyetherimide resin, and a polyester-imide resin; alumina particles having an aspect ratio of 2 to 99, and represented by the formula: Al.sub.2O.sub.3.Math.nH.sub.2O; at least one selected from the group consisting of an organophosphorous compound, a sulfonic acid compound, an amic acid compound, a triazole compound, a compound represented by formula (A) below, a compound represented by formula (B) below, a compound represented by formula (C) below, citric acid, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, and an ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid derivative; and a solvent, wherein the solvent comprises 90% by mass or more of a solvent having a boiling point of 100? C. or more at a pressure of 1 atm, the alumina particle content is 10 to 30% by mass relative to a total of 100% by mass of the heat-resistant resin and the alumina particles, and a total content of the heat-resistant resin and the alumina particles is 10 to 30% by mass. ##STR00001##

A self-fusing insulated wire, containing: a conductor having a rectangular cross-section; a thermoplastic resin layer provided on the outer periphery of the conductor; and a thermosetting fusing layer provided on the outer periphery of the thermoplastic resin layer;
wherein the fusing layer is composed of a hardening resin composition having an epoxy-group-containing phenoxy resin (a1), an epoxy resin (a2) having a softening point of 50 C. or more and 250 C. or less, and an imidazole-series hardening agent,
wherein, in the hardening resin composition, a content ratio of the resin (a1) and the resin (a2) satisfies the relationship of (a1):(a2)=71:29 to 95:5 (mass ratio), and a content of the imidazole-series hardening agent with respect to 100 parts by mass of a total content of the resin (a1) and the resin (a2) is less than 2 parts by mass, and
wherein a storage elastic modulus at 85 C. of the hardening resin composition after hardening thereof is from 100 to 2,500 MPa.
