WIRE HARNESS
A wire harness, including: a wire; an outer sheath that covers a portion of an outer circumferential surface of the wire in a circumferential direction; and a fastener that fixes the outer sheath to an outer circumference of the wire, wherein: the outer sheath includes a first section and a second section that each include an opening that opens in a direction orthogonal to an axis line direction of the wire, and the fastener fixes the outer sheath to the outer circumference of the wire with at least one end surface of the first section in the circumferential direction and at least one end surface of the second section in the circumferential direction facing one another and separated from one another.
Seamless electrical conduit
Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to a unitary electrical conduit that includes a central conductor, a socket coupled to a first end of the central conductor, a male insert coupled to a second end of the central conductor a dielectric sheath surrounding the central conductor, and an outer conductor surrounding the dielectric sheath, wherein a substantially 90 degree bend is formed along a length thereof.
Pest-resistant cable jacketing
A protective jacket for cable includes (a) an exterior layer (1) free of a pest repellant, and (2) having external and internal facial surfaces; (b) an inner layer (1) having a shore d hardness of equal to or greater than (≥) 63, (2) including a pest repellant, and (3) having two facial surfaces; and (c) optionally, a tie layer in contact with the internal facial surface of the exterior layer and a facial surface of the inner layer.
Method of manufacturing electrical cable, and resulting product, with reduced required installation pulling force
Disclosed are cable types, including a type THHN cable, the cable types having a reduced surface coefficient of friction, and the method of manufacture thereof, in which the central conductor core and insulating layer are surrounded by a material containing nylon or thermosetting resin. A silicone based pulling lubricant for said cable, or alternatively, erucamide or stearyl erucamide for small cable gauge wire, is incorporated, by alternate methods, with the resin material from which the outer sheath is extruded, and is effective to reduce the required pulling force between the formed cable and a conduit during installation.
Method of manufacturing a non-circular electrical cable having a reduced pulling force
In various embodiments, a non-circular electrical cable having a reduced pulling force attributable to the exterior surface of an outer sheath, and method of producing the same is provided. In various embodiments, an outer sheath of the cable may comprise a first and second sheath layer, the second sheath layer being located external to the first sheath layer, and comprising a nylon material configured to reduce the pulling force necessary for installing the cable. In various embodiments, the first sheath layer may be extruded using a tube extrusion method into a substantially circular shape, and the second sheath layer may be extruded using a pressure extrusion methods onto the exterior surface of the first sheath layer while maintaining the at least substantially circular shape of the sheath. The sheath may then be pulled onto the surface of a plurality of conductors to form the non-circular electrical cable.
COMPRESSED STRANDED CONDUCTOR, INSULATED ELECTRIC WIRE, AND WIRE HARNESS
A compressed stranded conductor includes an inner layer strand having conductive wires which are twisted together, and an outer layer strand having conductive wires which are arranged around an outer periphery of the inner layer strand and are twisted together. The inner layer strand and the outer layer strand are compressed. An inner layer area reduction rate of one conductive wire of the inner layer strand is 29% or more and 32% or less. An outer layer area reduction rate of one conductive wire of the outer layer strand is 6% or more and 11% or less. A difference between the inner layer area reduction rate and the outer layer area reduction rate is 19% or more and 25% or less.
INSULATED COPPER WIRE AND ELECTRIC COIL
An insulated copper wire is an insulated copper wire having a copper wire and an insulating film coating a surface of the copper wire, in which the insulating film contains a polymer material having an amide bond, on a peeled surface formed on a surface of the insulated copper wire by peeling off the insulating film, there more copper atoms bonded to a nitrogen atom or a carbon atom than copper atoms bonded to an oxygen atom, an oxygen-containing layer containing 10 atom % or more of oxygen in a depth direction from the peeled surface is formed, and a film thickness of the oxygen-containing layer is in a range of 2 nm or more and 30 nm or less. An electric coil is formed by winding the above-described insulated copper wire.
VEHICULAR VISION SYSTEM USING IMAGE DATA TRANSMISSION AND POWER SUPPLY VIA A COAXIAL CABLE
A vehicular vision system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) disposed at a vehicle and a camera having a CMOS imaging sensor operable to capture image data. Image data captured by the imaging sensor of the camera is conveyed from the camera to the ECU via a single core coaxial cable. The camera is in bidirectional communication with the ECU over the single core coaxial cable. The single core coaxial cable commonly carries (i) image data captured by the imaging sensor for processing at a data processor of the ECU and (ii) power from a DC power supply of the ECU to the camera. Image data captured by the imaging sensor is serialized at a data serializer of the camera and is conveyed to the ECU via the single core coaxial cable and is deserialized at the ECU by a data deserializer of the ECU.
ADVANCED INSULATION AND JACKETING FOR DOWNHOLE POWER AND MOTOR LEAD CABLES
An electric submersible pumping system includes a motor, a pump driven by the motor, and a cable that provides electrical power to the motor. The cable includes a conductor and an insulator surrounding the conductor. The insulator includes a first layer surrounding the conductor and a second layer surrounding the first layer. The insulator may include an H.sub.2S scavenger and an H.sub.2S reactant in the first or second layers surrounding the conductor. The cable optionally includes a sub-insulator layer that includes a metal or nitride coating applied directly to the conductor.
Flame resistant data cables and related methods
