The cable also includes a primary jacket surrounding the semi-conductive core, a braid surrounding the primary jacket, and a final jacket surrounding the braid. At least one of the primary jacket and the final jacket includes a low smoke, zero halogen material.

Composite conductors including radiative and/or hard coatings and methods of manufacture thereof
An apparatus includes a strength member including a core formed of a composite material, and an encapsulation layer disposed around the core. A conductor layer is disposed around the strength member. A coating is disposed on the conductor layer. The coating is formulated to have a solar absorptivity of less than 0.5 at a wavelength of less than 2.5 microns, and a radiative emissivity of greater than 0.5 at a wavelength in a range of 2.5 microns to 15 microns, at an operating temperature in a range of 60 degrees Celsius to 250 degrees Celsius. The coating may have an erosion resistance that is at least 5% greater than an erosion resistance of aluminum or aluminum alloys.

A leakage current detection and interruption (LCDI) device for a power cord includes a switch unit configured to control an electrical connection between an input end and an output end, and a leakage current protection unit, which includes a switch drive module and a leakage current detection module. The leakage current detection module includes first and second leakage current detection lines coupled in series. The switch drive module is configured to control the switch unit based on a leakage current signal generated by the leakage current detection module to disconnect the electrical connection. The LCDI device can detect whether the first and second leakage current detection lines are intact, thereby ensuring the reliability of the device.

A marking portion is partially formed on an outer peripheral surface of the sheath layer, and a ratio of an arithmetic average roughness Ra2 of a peripheral region adjacent to the marking portion, with respect to an arithmetic average roughness Ra1 of the marking portion, at the outer peripheral surface, is 0.10 or greater and 0.90 or less.
Method of making a stretchable conductor
A stretchable conductor includes a substrate with a first major surface and an elongate wire, wherein the substrate is an elastomeric material, the elongate wire is on the first major surface of the substrate, the wire includes a first end and a second end, and further includes at least one arcuate region between the first end and the second end. At least one portion of the arcuate region of the wire in the region has a first surface area portion embedded in the surface of the substrate and a second surface area portion unembedded on the substrate and exposed in an amount sufficient to render at least an area of the substrate in the region electrically conductive. The unembedded second surface portion of the arcuate region may lie above or below a plane of the substrate. Additionally, different methods of preparing said stretchable conductor are disclosed. Composite articles including said stretchable conductor in durable electrical contact with a conductive fabric are also disclosed.
