RODENT REPELLENT CABLE
A rodent repellent cable has an outer protective jacket for housing the cable's internal components. The internal components include at least a means for facilitating transmission of electrical current or data, and a repellent bonded to at least one component of the cable. The means for facilitating transmission of electrical current or data include, but are not limited to, wires and optical fibers. The cable may include additional internal components, such as one or more separators and a sheath. The repellent is configured to repel rodents, based on a negative olfactory stimulus when the rodents are subjected to the repellent. This will deter rodents from chewing on wire or cable containing the repellent, which will significantly reduce the incidence of fires of undetermined origin and rodent-inflicted damage to wiring systems universally.
LOW NOISE OXIMETRY CABLE
The present disclosure includes a cable for a patient monitoring system. The cable can have a flexible and durable overall construction that enables the cable to withstand repeated winding and unwinding and prevent kinks from developing. The cable may include multiple bundles encased in inner jackets that reduce the amount of friction against other cable elements and allows the bundle to move more freely inside an outer jacket of the cable. The multiple bundles may include multiple wires or cords. The cable can include a flexible core that runs through the middle of the cable. The multiple bundles can be twisted, weaved, or untwisted around the core.
WARNING DEVICE FOR PREVENTING UNDERGROUND CABLES AGAINST ACCIDENTAL EXCAVATION
A warning device for preventing underground cables against accidental excavation comprises an optical fiber vibration sensor having a mode recognition function, a signal processing unit, a wireless communication unit and a power supply unit, wherein the signal processing unit is connected to the optical fiber vibration sensor, the wireless communication unit and the power supply unit, and the optical fiber vibration sensor is installed within a set range of a cable and is used to monitor vibration signals around the cable, so that once a behavior possibly endangering the cable occurs, an alarm is given out in time to reduce power transmission and transformation accidents. Compared with the prior art, the warning device has the advantages of low false alarm rate, rapid response and accurate localization region.
Wire harness
A wire harness that allows branched locations to be defined and can be manufactured inexpensively. A wire harness includes a tubular bendable pipe through which a wire is inserted. The pipe includes pull-out ports of the wire at positions corresponding to branching locations of the wire. The pull-out ports are configured to open on the respective mating surfaces of a first divided segment and a second divided segment obtained by circumferentially dividing the pipe into two. Bushes serving as protection portions that protect the wire are provided at rims of the pull-out ports.
Flex Flat Cable Structure and Flex Flat Cable Electrical Connector Fix Structure
A flex flat cable (FFC) structure includes metallic transmission wires arranged in parallel, first insulating jackets, and second insulating jacket. The metallic transmission wires includes one or more power wires and signal wires. The power wire is configured to transmit power. The signal wires are configured to transmit a data signal. Each of first insulating jackets encloses one of metallic transmission wires. The second insulating jacket surrounds the first insulating jackets. An embossment pattern is arranged on an external surface of the second insulating jacket. The embossment pattern includes meander lines in a top-view direction and in an extending direction for the metallic transmission wires. The meander lines are not arranged parallel.
High performance multilayer insulation composite for high voltage applications
A thin micro-multilayer electrical insulator having a plurality of layers of polymeric materials is high performance and lightweight. The insulator provides a structured material with improved dielectric strength and partial corona discharge resistance that can be used in high voltage and high temperature applications. The durable insulator is well suited for use in insulating high voltage aircraft wiring and power transmission composites in hybrid and all electric airplanes. The insulator can have multiple layers of different polymeric materials such as fluorine-containing polymers and polyimides.
Wiring system, in particular for the connection between carriages of a railway vehicle
A wiring system is described in particular for the electrical connection between a first and a second carriage of a railway vehicle; the wiring system has at least one mobile wiring having a first and a second end connected to a respective connector designed for coupling to fixed panel elements carried by facing outside walls of the first and respectively, second carriages. The mobile wiring has a single sheath enclosing a number of cables separate and distinct, each designed for a different application, jointly designed to provide complete connectivity in terms of data and control signals between the carriages. The wiring system also provides for a first and a second fixed wiring, each arranged at a respective carriage, and designed to interface electrically with a respective end of the mobile wiring for the corresponding electrical connection to on-board equipment.
Communication cables with separators having alternating projections
A cable may include a plurality of twisted pairs of individually insulated conductors, a separator positioned between the twisted pairs, and a jacket formed around the twisted pairs and the separator. The separator may include a longitudinally extending spine positioned between the plurality of twisted pairs and a plurality of projections extending from the spine. Each projection may extend between at least one adjacent set of twisted pairs. Further, along a longitudinal length of the separator, the plurality of projections extend between all of the adjacent sets of twisted pairs. However, at any given cross-sectional point along the longitudinal length, the separator does not extend between all of the adjacent sets of twisted pairs.
BREAKAWAY MECHANISMS FOR CABLES
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a device is described, which includes a first retainer to connect to a first section of a cable and a second retainer to connect to a second section of the cable. The first retainer and second retainer are connected together with a breakaway mechanism. The breakaway mechanism separates when tension is applied between the first section of the cable and the second section of the cable.
Additive manufacturing for integrated circuit assembly cables
Cables, cable connectors, and support structures for cantilever package and/or cable attachment may be fabricated using additive processes, such as a coldspray technique, for integrated circuit assemblies. In one embodiment, cable connectors may be additively fabricated directly on an electronic substrate. In another embodiment, seam lines of cables and/or between cables and cable connectors may be additively fused. In a further embodiment, integrated circuit assembly attachment and/or cable attachment support structures may be additively formed on an integrated circuit assembly.
