Wire harness
A wire harness is provided with an electrically conductive path, and a tubular sheath member into which the electrically conductive path is inserted. The sheath member includes a straight portion having strength to limit bending. A bellows-shaped portion which is wavy in shape in a tube circumferential direction, is formed in a portion of the straight portion in a sectional view. The bellows-shaped portion is more flexible than a portion of the straight portion other than the bellows-shaped portion.
Wire with unequal dimensions for cables in information handling systems
A cable of an information handling system may include a first signal wire, a first drain wire, and a plastic sheath enclosing a volume having at least the first signal wire. To reduce mechanical stress on the cable and the drain wire, the drain wire has a ratio of length along a first axis and along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis that is not equal to one. When bending a cable away from a first axis parallel to the cable's thickness defined as the longest dimension or towards a second axis that is perpendicular to the first axis, the top surface of the wire in the bend undergoes tensile stress and the bottom surface undergoes compression stress, and the non-equal lengths along the two axis reduce the effect of the compression and tensile stresses.
WIRE HARNESS
A wire harness including: a plurality of electric wires; a cylindrical protective tube that collectively houses the plurality of electric wires; a restricting member that is provided within the protective tube and includes a housing space through which the plurality of electric wires are passed and that is shaped and sized to restrict an arrangement direction of the plurality of electric wires to a specific direction; a plurality of grooves that are formed in an inner circumferential surface of the protective tube at a predetermined spacing in a circumferential direction of the protective tube; and a protrusion that is formed on an outer circumferential surface of the restricting member and is fitted into one groove of the plurality of grooves.
Electric cable
An electric cable for supplying power to aircrafts, rail vehicles, motor vehicles, ships or other devices is a single or multi-conductor cable and includes one or more current conductors with at least one insulation. A single or multi-layer outer casing is distributed over the periphery and is associated with the outwardly protruding reinforcing elements. The reinforcing elements are in the form of cooling ribs protruding preferably over the entire periphery of the cable and enable the surface of the cable to be increased and as a result, improve heat dissipation. The projecting reinforcing elements considerably reduce the risk of burning when the current conductors heat up and also protect the cable against abrasion. The invention also relates to a plug for the electric cable.
CONDUCTOR ARRANGEMENT FOR AN ELECTRICAL ENERGY AND/OR DATA TRANSMISSION CONNECTION
A conductor arrangement for an electrical connection includes a flexible multi-core internal conductor, an electromagnetic shield surrounding the flexible multi-core internal conductor, a thermoplastic hard plastic sheath surrounding a first portion of the flexible multi-core internal conductor, and a flexible corrugated tube surrounding a second portion the flexible multi-core internal conductor. A first portion of the thermoplastic hard plastic sheath includes an elongated flattened shape. A second portion of the thermoplastic hard plastic sheath includes an essentially round shape. The second portion of the thermoplastic hard plastic sheath is adjacent the first portion of the thermoplastic hard plastic sheath.
AVERSIVE CABLE WITH SACRIFICIAL LOBES
Provided herein are embodiments of an aversive cable. The cable includes a cable core comprising a longitudinal axis, a cable jacket surrounding the cable core along the longitudinal axis, and at least one sacrificial lobe. The cable jacket has an outer surface, and each of the at least one sacrificial lobe extends longitudinally along at least a portion of cable jacket and radially outward from the outer surface of the cable jacket. The cable jacket and the at least one sacrificial lobe include an aversive material. In embodiments, the sacrificial lobes are included on a cable sheath instead of the cable jacket, and the cable sheath surrounds the cable jacket without being bonded to the cable jacket.
Insulated wire, coil, and electric/electronic equipments
An insulated wire containing a thermoplastic resin layer (A) as a covering layer directly or indirectly on a rectangular conductor, in which the insulated wire has at least one protruding part which is continuous in a longitudinal direction of said insulated wire, on a surface of a portion of the thermoplastic resin layer (A), which portion corresponds to at least one side of a cross-section of the insulated wire, said protruding part and a flat part of the surface having the protruding part forms a curved portion with a radius of curvature of 0.01 to 0.75 mm in the cross-section of the insulated wire, and a lateral face of the protruding part has a slope of less than 90° to the flat part of the surface having the protruding part in the cross-section of the insulated wire, a coil produced by processing the insulated wire by winding, and an electric/electronic equipment comprising the coil.
MC CABLE WITH TEARABLE ASSEMBLY TAPE
Disclosed is an armored cable assembly including a core having a notched assembly tape about a plurality of conductors. A metal sheath surrounds the core.
CABLES WITH CORRUGATED DIELECTRIC ARMOR CONFIGURED TO PROVIDE ENHANCED CRUSH RESISTANCE AND/OR BENDING PERFORMANCE
An armored cable may include a cable core including at least one transmission element and a corrugated armor configured to surround the cable core. The corrugated armor may be configured to include raised portions and recessed portions along a length of the cable, the raised portions may be configured to be separated from one another by exterior grooves, and the recessed portions may be configured to be separated from one another by interior grooves. One of the raised portions may be connected to one of the recessed portions by a radial wall that may be configured to provide the corrugated armor with enhanced crush resistance.
