The cable also includes a cable shield that is spirally wrapped around the cable components with a varying wrap pitch that provides a plurality of overlapping cable shield portions with varying overlap areas. When signals are transmitted using the cable components in the cable, the varying overlap areas of the plurality of overlapping cable shield portions create a plurality of varying LC circuits that are configured to generate a resonance that does not exceed a signal integrity resonance threshold for a signals.

A Tool, a Method and an Apparatus for Mounting Rods Around a Central Core

A tool for mounting a set of helical rods around an elongated central core includes a pair of cartridges mounted opposite each other around the central core, so that the rods extend along the central core. Each cartridge has a first part comprising a through-hole for receiving one of the rods, and a second part comprising a through-hole for receiving another rod, the second part being movable with respect to the first part from an open position to a closed position. In the closed position, the parts form an annular body extending around a central opening for receiving the central core, the cartridge comprising a surface configured to engage with a driving wheel or a driving belt for transfer of torque to the cartridge. In the open position, a gap is provided between the parts so that the central opening is accessible from a position radially outside of the cartridge.

A fire-resistant coaxial cable is described in which the dielectric between the central conductor and outer coaxial conductor can ceramify under high heat. The dielectric is composed of a ceramifiable silicone rubber, such as that having a polysiloxane matrix with inorganic flux and refractory particles. An outer wrap of ceramic fiber yarn surrounds the outer conductor and continues to insulate it from the outside if a low smoke zero halogen jacket burns away. Embodiments include those with durable corrugated outer conductors or flexible braided outer conductors. Methods of testing and installation are described.

Electric power transmission cable

An electric power transmission cable comprises electric power conductors and a plurality of parallel spiralled armouring wires. The electric power transmission cable comprises along its length a first section (I), a second section (III) and a transition section (II). The transition section (II) is provided between the first section (I) and the second section (III). The plurality of parallel spiralled armouring wires in the first section (I) comprises or consists out of first armouring wires (121). The first armouring wires (121) are carbon steel wires comprising a metallic corrosion resistant coating. At least part of the plurality of parallel spiralling armouring wires in the second section (III) comprise austenitic steel wires (123). In the transition section (II), ends of first armouring wires (121) are individually welded to ends of austenitic steel wires (123) of the second section (III). The transition section (II) starts at the first weld (137) between a first armouring wire (121) and an austenitic steel wire (123). The transition section (II) ends at the last weld (130) between a first armouring wire (121) and an austenitic steel wire (123). The transition section (II) is at least 10 meter long.
