INSULATED WIRE WITH SOLDERED PORTION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

This insulated wire includes an insulating coating formed on a surface of a conductive wire body, and a soldered portion for electric conduction. The soldered portion is formed by attaching dicarboxylic acid onto a surface of the insulating coating, and by performing solder plating in a state where the dicarboxylic acid is attached onto the surface of the insulating coating. In addition, this method for manufacturing an insulated wire includes a surface treatment step of attaching the dicarboxylic acid onto a surface of an insulating coating which becomes the soldered portion, and a soldering step of performing the solder plating by immersing the surface treated portion of the insulating coating in a heated solder melt.

A fiber-reinforced resin is positioned radially about at least a portion of an exterior surface of the at least one elongated conductor portion. The high-temperature may optionally include a thin metal layer and/or an armor shell.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRICAL CABLE, AND RESULTING PRODUCT, WITH REDUCED REQUIRED INSTALLATION PULLING FORCE

Disclosed are cable types, including a type THHN cable, the cable types having a reduced surface coefficient of friction, and the method of manufacture thereof, in which the central conductor core and insulating layer are surrounded by a material containing nylon or thermosetting resin. A silicone based pulling lubricant for said cable, or alternatively, erucamide or stearyl erucamide for small cable gauge wire, is incorporated, by alternate methods, with the resin material from which the outer sheath is extruded, and is effective to reduce the required pulling force between the formed cable and a conduit during installation.

MULTI-CORE CABLE

A multi-core cable includes a plurality of coaxial wires, each coaxial wire including a center conductor whose sectional area is 0.0005 mm.sup.2 to 0.0039 mm.sup.2. The multi-core cable includes a resin tape wrapped around the coaxial wires so that all of the plurality of coaxial wires are included therein, a shield layer being made of metal and covering the resin tape, and a sheath covering the shield layer and arranged at an outermost layer of the multi-core cable. The sheath is made of thermoplastic vulcanizate or tetrafluoroethylene-propylene-based fluorine containing rubber.
