CABLE

A cable includes a cable core including a linear filler, and a plurality of core wires for signal transmission, a shield layer covering around the cable core, and a sheath covering around the shield layer. The filler includes a first filler provided at a cable center, and a plurality of second fillers provided around the first filler to form a cross-shape with the first filler in a cross-section perpendicular to a cable longitudinal direction. The cable corethe cable core is configured in such a manner that the plurality of core wires and the plurality of second fillers are spirally twisted around the first filler to be alternately arranged in a circumferential direction.

Communications cable with triboelectric protection
11152137 · 2021-10-19 · ·

A communications cable has a plurality of twisted pairs of insulated conductors, metal foil tape between the twisted pairs, and a cable jacket are disclosed. The metal foil tape can include a substrate, a metal layer on the substrate, and a triboelectric coating on at least the metal layer of the metal foil tape. The triboelectric coating has a charge affinity closer to a charge affinity of the insulated conductors than a charge affinity of the metal layer to prevent charge build up between the conductors and the metal foil tape.

SHIELDED ELECTRICAL CABLE
20210225558 · 2021-07-22 ·

A shielded electrical cable includes conductor sets extending along a length of the cable and spaced apart from each other along a width of the cable. First and second shielding films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable and include cover portions and pinched portions arranged such that, in transverse cross section, the cover portions of the films in combination substantially surround each conductor set. An adhesive layer bonds the shielding films together in the pinched portions of the cable. A transverse bending of the cable at a cable location of no more than 180 degrees over an inner radius of at most 2 mm causes a cable impedance of the selected insulated conductor proximate the cable location to vary by no more than 2 percent from an initial cable impedance measured at the cable location in an unbent configuration.

Communication cable and crimping member

A twisted pair cable includes a twisted portion in which two communication wires are twisted each other and an untwisted portion in which the two communication wires are untwisted. The terminal is connected to a tip part of the untwisted portion. A crimping member includes a barrel portion crimped to an end part of the twisted portion on the side of the untwisted portion and a non-crimping portion extending from the barrel portion toward the untwisted portion and not crimped to the twisted pair cable. The non-crimping portion includes a facing portion facing the two communication wires in the untwisted portion and rising portions rising from both end part in a direction orthogonal to a longitudinal direction of the untwisted portions in the facing portion. The rising portions surround the two communication wires together with the facing portion.

Twisted pair communication cables substantially free of colorant

Twisted pair communication cables that include reduced or minimal use of colorant may include a plurality of twisted pairs of individually insulated conductors, and the respective insulation formed around each conductor may be free of colorant. Additionally, physical indicia may be selectively formed on the respective insulation of at least two of the plurality of twisted pairs, and the physical indicia may facilitate identification of the plurality of twisted pairs. A jacket may be formed around the plurality of twisted pairs.
