ETHERNET CABLE
Provided is an Ethernet cable. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to an Ethernet cable that is excellent in durability and electrical characteristics due to high flexibility and resistance to vibration and that may be manufactured at low costs.
COMPOSITE CABLE
A composite cable includes a signal transmission cable including a pair of signal lines being arranged parallel to each other in a cable longitudinal direction and contacting to each other and a shield layer covering the pair of signal lines together, a pair of power supply lines being arranged contacting to each other and contacting to the shield layer, a collective braided shield covering around a cable core composed of the signal transmission cable and the pair of power supply lines collectively, a sheath covering around the collective braided shield. The collective braided shield is configured closely contacting to the shield layer in accordance with an outer shape of the shield layer.
Multi-layered, shielded and grounded cables and related methods
Data/telecommunication cables that include one or more layers of an integral, bonded electromagnetic shield are described. The shield may be configured to form an electrical ground path.
HIGH DENSITY SHIELDED ELECTRICAL CABLE AND OTHER SHIELDED CABLES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A shielded electrical ribbon cable includes adjacent first and second longitudinal conductor sets where each conductor set includes two or more insulated conductors. The first conductor set also includes a ground conductor that generally lies in the plane of the insulated conductors of the first conductor set. At least 90% of the periphery of each conductor set is encompassed by a shielding film. First and second non-conductive polymeric films are disposed on opposite sides of the cable and form cover portions substantially surrounding each conductor set, and pinched portions on each side of each conductor set. When the cable is laid flat, the distance between the center of the ground conductor of the first conductor set and the center of the nearest insulated conductor of the second conductor set is σ1, the center-to-center spacing of the insulated conductors of the second conductor set is σ2, and σ1/σ2 is greater than 0.7.
Flame resistant data cables and related methods
A data cable is provided herewith, along with related methods. The disclosed data cables may meet the requirements for a UL 2196 flame test, including subsequent hose stream test. The disclosed data cables include two or more pairs of conductors wrapped with a flame-retardant tape and surrounded by low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) thermoset insulation. A shield may surround the conductor pairs and a non-halogen flame retardant polyolefin may surround the shield. In certain embodiments, the pairs of conductors present in the cable may have different lay lengths.
Downhole cable and method of making a downhole cable
A cable that has a cable core with a first armor wire layer and a second armor wire layer. The second armor wire layer is segregated from the first armor wire layer, and an outer jacket is disposed about the second armor wire layer.
SHIELDED TWISTED PAIR CABLE
A shielded twisted pair cable includes a twisted pair wire including two insulated wires that are twisted together, and a shield configured to cover the twisted pair wire. Each of the two insulated wires includes a conductor, and an insulator covering the conductor. The shield includes a first shield, a second shield, and a third shield in this order from a position closest to the twisted pair wire. The first shield includes a first resin tape with a metal foil, spirally wound around the twisted pair wire, the second shield includes a braided conductor, and the third shield includes a second resin tape with a metal foil. The metal foil of the first resin tape with the metal foil makes contact with the braided conductor, and the braided conductor makes contact with the metal foil of the second resin tape with the metal foil.
SHIELD-SUPPORTING FILLER FOR DATA COMMUNICATIONS CABLES
Methods of design, manufacture and implementations of balanced twisted pair cables with a barrier tape or shield, with tuned attenuation, impedance, and coupling properties. A filler is included within the cable to separate the pairs and provide a support base for the shield, allowing for optimized ground plane uniformity and stability for tuned attenuation, impedance, and coupling properties. The filler orientation, shape, and size provides support for the shield such that a gap is provided between the shield and the twisted pairs with a given minimum size without increasing the maximum cable core size. The length of arms of the filler may be adjusted to fine-tune the size and shape of this gap and control air-dielectric volume and radial contact or spacing between any pair(s) and the shield, tuning electrical performance characteristics caused by non-linear effects of electromagnetic interactions at short ranges between the pairs, shield, filler, or other components.
Communications Cable with Triboelectric Protection
A communications cable has a plurality of twisted pairs of insulated conductors, metal foil tape between the twisted pairs, and a cable jacket are disclosed. The metal foil tape can include a substrate, a metal layer on the substrate, and a triboelectric coating on at least the metal layer of the metal foil tape. The triboelectric coating has a charge affinity closer to a charge affinity of the insulated conductors than a charge affinity of the metal layer to prevent charge build up between the conductors and the metal foil tape.
