A wiring harness includes an electric wire having a conductor part and an insulator, the insulator covering an outer periphery of the conductor part and containing a plasticizer, and a coaxial wire having an internal conductor, an internal insulator, an external conductor, and a sheath, the internal insulator provided on an outer periphery of the internal conductor, the external conductor provided on an outer periphery of the internal insulator, and the sheath covering an outer periphery of the external conductor. The coaxial wire is arranged adjacent to the electric wire. The coaxial wire comprises a film layer which is provided between the internal insulator and the external conductor and which prevents transfer of the plasticizer. A contact force between the internal insulator and the film layer is 1N or more.

A coaxial juncture assembly 10 has a characteristic impedance Z.sub.0 and comprises an inner conductive formation 32 having opposed first and second ends 34.1, 34.2 which are connectable to an inner conductor of a coaxial cable and an inner conductor 18 of a port respectively. The cable has a characteristic impedance Z.sub.0 and the inner conductor has a diameter d.sub.1. The formation 32 has an outer diameter d.sub.1, which is larger than d.sub.1. A conductive tubular member 36 has an inner diameter D.sub.1, a first end 38.1, a second end 38.2, a slot 40 and an inner surface area A.sub.inner. The member 36 is connectable at end 38.1 thereof to an outer conductor of the cable and at the end 38.2 to an outer conductor of the port. The assembly 10 comprises a dielectric arrangement 42 having a dielectric constant .sub.eff. At least one of: a) .sub.eff and b) A.sub.inner is configured such that a difference between Z.sub.o and Z.sub.o is less than 3% and D.sub.1 and D.sub.1 varies by less than 5%.

Each of the first retimer and the second retimer includes: a differential-to-single-ended signal converter that receives an input of a differential signal and outputs a single-ended signal; and a single-ended-to-differential signal converter that receives an input of a single-ended signal and outputs a differential signal. The first retimer and the second retimer are connected via the coaxial line.

Electrical cable with dielectric film

A cable includes an inner conductor and a dielectric layer extending around the inner conductor. The dielectric layer includes a linearly-stretched polypropylene film having a porous structure that includes a plurality of pores that extend through a thickness of the linearly-stretched polypropylene film. The dielectric layer includes air molecules trapped within the pores of the linearly-stretched polypropylene film such that the dielectric layer includes polypropylene and air. The cable includes an outer conductor extending around the dielectric layer.
